Well my parts came in today so of course I had to press the headset to make sure it was going to work proper. Soooo... I guess I am leaving it raw for now and building it up tomorrow. I'll post pics when its done.
So I got it all built up and put it on the shop scale, it came to 30lbs 10oz.
And I used Mar-Hyde Tal Strip in an aerosol can to strip the bike. I use it to do all of my striping but apparently its being phased out and is no longer going to be available. Some stupid reason about the chemicals in it being dangerous.
I got the last can from my local NAPA store and the desk girl told me they couldn't get any more.
Thinking of spraying my rims, am a graffiti artist so no problems with the actual spraying and everything... But does anyone know a good gold spray paint? Because i cant seem to find anything that isnt too metallic or matte...?
Thanks, yeah paintings my job usually just do helmets but I've done a couple of frames and sets of carbon wheels. http://www.jimsfactory.com if you want to have a look.
i was thinking about red bull theme... blue and silver...
Blue and silver would look pretty good if you had enough blue.
Also your brake cables look too long. Maybe shorten them to make it look a little cleaner?
i know... at the time i was thinking in a slopstyle bike... but the jumps are gone so it never came to be a slopstyle bike :S maybe when i paint it ill cut the cable a litle bit i was thinking like alf blue and alf silves just like the red bull can slited in 4 parts...
