yeah, streetstyle just pointed this out to me. this is right off the Devinci's "ride in peace" lifetime warranty information sheet.

it was filled under...

"warranty is void if.."

• YOU USED AN OTHER SEAT THAN THE ONE SOLD WITH YOUR BIKE;

so you don't have a warranty anymore if you change your seat..

Man thats CRAZY ! ! !

How in hell is Devinci going to know which seat somebody was running? If it comes to a warranty issue just put the original seat back on.

I bought a frame?!?!?! Though I've also stripped the paint. I'm double void.

Your also not allowed to strip paint because the factory paint is what holds the frame together. Rolleyes

Also if you take off the warning stickers it suddenly becomes an illegal frame!

no, its more because i'm sure an idiot like mega-sand blasted his frame and blew a hole threw it. or someone decided corrosive acid might be a good thing to leave on the bike overnight to see if the paint will come off.

Wow, good eye there on the seat thing. How you found it is beyond me, but anyways....The whole paint stripping.modification thing is pretty standard, since retards have access to chemicals, it only makes sense. Sucks if you have a gawd-awful paint job (like me) on a light, but weak, frame (like me). The seat thing is f*cking ridiculous. What if you change the post? The seat is then theoreticall changed too.

don't change your seat angle either.

...And try to avoid sitting on it.

I'd be interested to hear some clarification from Devinci on this matter, anyone sent an e-mail yet?

A lot of companies have their legal departments write up crazy things like this just to cover their ass in the event of an accident. When it comes to warrantying a frame, I doubt they'd actually void a warranty for changing a seat.
