ive gotta do a trial run with mine yet as never used the bike bag. looking at it it looks like ill just need to pop the wheels and bars. i think the bag will take my tripples on hopefully. ill put the wheels either side as above and try to protect the mech, callipers and brake levers somehow. might put some thick card in between the pads to stop them closing. i suppose i could wind the levers all the way in on the codes to then in theory the callipers cant close as the lever wont press in. am i making sense or talking crap lol. going to take a set of wet tyres and body armour in my case and my ff helmet as carry on. clothes if i have any weight limit left at the end. as long as ive riding gear i can sit by the pool in me kegs getting pished if needs be lol.

unfortunately Kona don't know how to make a bike with a wheel base of less than 4 miles so I had the take the totems off, wrapped the stantions in an old towel though so its all good! haha

As someone with a 2011 Kona Operator in large, with a wheelbase of 1233mm, I can second this...
I think my stinky is ever so slightly shorter than that, can't remember exactly though!

anyway, I'm outta here about 1:35pm on Saturday... more excited than a 5 year old on Christmas eve!

how much does it weigh now

it came in at 30kg.... could probably take my tubes and a tyre out and put them in my clothing luggage to bring it down a bit... my understanding is I've got 32kg for the bike and 20kg for my other luggage (I paid the extra for 20kg luggage on top of the bike)

Kev, it sounds like you are going with easyjet?

You are almost right on your allowance.

Bike bag can weigh up to 32kg not an ounce more (32kg is an international limit on bagge weight, so the handlers don't cripple themselves)

Your case can weight 20kg.

Total combined weight (bike+ case) cannot excede 50kg

No passenger on easy jet can take more than 50KG in the hold.

You can take hand luggage..... the weight here is unlimited, so long as you can lift it into the overhead locker!

But was the beer Hoegaarden or Mutzig, unless it was one of them it doesn't count and you'll have to start again Beer

neither of them but, I have had plenty of those stubbies from Tesco, pretty sure they sell those over there too!

My training has been making sure that I have either a croissant or pain-au-chocolat (usually both for good measures) every time I go for a DH ride!

Oh and 337.5 hours.... not that i'm counting at all.

My only problem is i'm struggling to find a suitable pink bash guard after CRC let me down big time.

Presumably any non-pink bash guard would be described as unsuitable?

MOST definately, CRC even had the cheek to class PURPLE as near to Pink.... Also it need to be a Blackspire or Straitline one as the E-13 are the wrong shade of pink. This whole co-ordinating thing is very stressful and to add to it, I've realised I've not been eating croissants or pain-au-chocolat.... Just hoping Maple Pecan plait counts...

We leave 2 weeks today... Deli is off go karting tonight on the strict instructions not to get hurt or else...

50kg isn't your hold limit. Your hold limit is unlimited for bike + 20kg for luggage. The bike however cannot exceed 32kg for eu policy so it's effectively 52. It is NOT 50

with the bike in the bag though it has to be bike and thats it. not loads of tyres and tools ect. thats my understanding.

not sure how the guy above will go carrying a bike plus parts of a seperate bike to. im going to pop my spare tyres in the wheel bags with my bike wheels but thats all ill risk extra. spares in my case i think unless anyone says different.
