Ive have Avid juicy 5's. Easy to fix and get parts but bleeding can be a pain. Check out the new Hayes Stroker series. I have worked on hopes and find them to be fairly user friendly but expensive in the states.

I run a Magura Louise BAT 2007 on my cowan. It's the best for fr and it's not very expensive.Much better in comparation with the avid

hayes stroker rydes, getting sintered metallic pads for them.

if that's not available, i'm selling them and getting stroker trails or juicy 5's.

i have hope mono minis
and they SUCK hard
serious power fade over periods of prolonged braking, like more than 5 seconds, and the modulation isnt constant.
ive bled them and changed the pads but nothing will fix the spongyness in the levers and the lack of power

code 5's on my cannondale judge, stroker rydes on my cove g-spot. both sick, really good modulation
