I've made a decision on the wheels. Black rims, blue hubs, black spokes, and alternative orange and blue spokes.

Aren't these hubs gorgeous? I love the build quality!

What tooth chainring are you going to have/currently have?
And I'm so glad you are lowering those forks. It doesn't affect me at all really. I just feel better knowing that they will be lower. What travel are they going to be at?

My new ILLBIKE Candy build.
So far from a few hours riding this bike has far exceeded my expectations. Illbike class this as a dirt frame, but the geo is far from that. Spins like a dream and just feels great. Need to make a few changes like a thinner tyre due to clearance issues with the DTH and possibly a rigid fork because i've managed to blow my dj1 Confused
SPECS:
Frame: ILLBIKE CANDY 26” Raw
Fork: Modded Marzocchi DJ1 2008 (soon to be a rigid or franken fork if all works out)
Bar: Mutant Small V3
Stem: United Stem
Grips: ODI Longneck XL
Brake: Hope Mini M4. Avid Invisibles
Front Rim: Atomlab Pimplite
Front Hub: Some hub that is supposed to look like carbon but weighs a ton
Tyres: Maxxis DTH 2.1 (Changing soon. don't know what)
Tubes: Maxxis Ultra-Light
Headset: Octane One Integrated
Bottom Bracket: Blank Spanish BB
Cranks: Profile Racing
Sprocket: Verde React
Pedals: Animal Edwin PC
Chain: KMC 710 Kool
Seat: Deity Tekstyle
Post: Deity Syringe
Rear Rim: Octane One Solar 32
Rear Hub: NS Primary Pro SS

Also a shout out to Rob for his help with the build. Without his help this bike wouldn't have turned out as great as it did. Cheers man for being such an awesome friend Beer

The chainring's been at 36t ever since a day after I took that photo.

I'm going to put them to 80 or 90mm. They're at 120mm now. I've always been wanting to lower them but I wanted to find stuff like seals and oil to rebuild the fork while I was at it, but my lazy ass never got around to doing that.

probably getting a kenda komfort which will fix the clearance issue. plus dth's aren't that low a profile tyre

what is with this trend of using commuter or cruiser tires for street and dirt? It's ridiculous!

The DMR tires aren't commuter/cruiser tires.
