This coming year will by my second on my 2008 Wilson. Last year I ran all year in the low BB setting and found it difficult at times to work in the peddle strokes since the terrain is very rocky at my local hill. I ate a fair amount of sh*t as well after catching cranks/peddles on rocks while on flats and getting kicked off. I did however like the stability at speed and cornering aspects of the low BB height. After racing last year I've come to realize that it's not enough to take the speed the hill gives you (pumping, flowing, and occasionally peddling) you've got to make your own speed as well by putting the hammer down as much as possible. Given this I'm going to try running in the higher BB setting to get a bit more clearance.
Are people running in the high BB setting, and if so how does the bike feel and how does it ride?
I like a low bike, had mine in the front setting on the shock shuttle for a while and then moved it to the rear when I got shorter cranks. Wasn't awful in the higher setting by any means, just preference. Bought shorter cranks and just tried to pedal when I could. Try it, the nice thing is, is that it takes two seconds to put it back.

i run my bike with High BB and FR chainstay. really just depends on how much pedaling you do on a trail. when i had it into the downhill setting it was a horse to pedal but went downhill amazingly, and when it was in the FR setting it pedaled much better, but it wasn't as nice to ride downhill, but still really nice.
sorry to get into your thread xwave, but I would like to know how does this bike corner in low BB setting? I've heard some people saying it wasn't a great cornerer and others saying it was almost as great as a sunday.
