I had a DHX Air on mine and swapped it to a Roco coil and it was a new bike, Hecklers like coils.

bigquotesHecklers like coils.
Got to agree, tried all sorts of settings with the DHX 5 Air but never managed to find a setting that suited it.

I got a X fusion HLR coil on my Heckler 2012 and believe me this shock performs really good

The RP23 did go though its travel easily as well, I upped the air pressure a bit above what Fox's site recommended, reducing my sag a bit below 14mm to like 12mm and all was well.[/Quote]

well this discussion is interesting...I bought my Heckler after riding a friend's (she is a bigger rider and her float R was set to 10 lb. more then my weight). With the higher psi I thought the bike climbed and pumped really well. One would think that after spending all the time they did to tune the shock to the frame one would not need to set it higher than recommended with less sag than recommended but that's been my experience also.

Well I wasnt really having much climbing issues maybe a bit soft, but on mild downhills I could blow through the whole rear travel, it was super plush but just worried I might bottom out hard at some point.

Dont put a DHX 5 air on it as they seem to struggle on the Heckler blowing through travel very quickly.
DHX 5 coil works brillantly

Yer I was planning on coil

The story continue:

Well my bike comes with a fox RL, and that shock was not plush as I want; I tried with low pressure, and different damping set up, and the shock always show a bad sensitivity.

Then I remove the FOX DHX 5 AIR from my NOMAD and try it on my Heckler, the DHX 5 performs better but It was hard to find the right set up, the shock usually bottoming, I tried different pressures and always the same problem, until I reduce the piggy back volume and increase the pressure on it, but this procedure affect the sensitivity of the DHX 5 AIR.

Finally I tried with the X fusion HLR COIL and Much Better, good sensitivity on small bumps, with the right coil y can do jumps with no bottoming. But the weight of the shock is a deal.

Mr. J. Valera (x fusion) recommend me the new HLR AIR, must be a good shock but I have to save $500.
Sorry for my English but I’m not a native speaker. CHEERS.

Guys with their RP23 blowing through the travel too easily, do a shim mod on the RP23:
http://forums.mtbr.com/turner/dw-5-spot-rp23-mod-503070.html

Works like a charm! I used the standard lengths 135mmx20mm (11.5stone rider)
