not that im ever worried but if ya want to talk wildlife, we got griz and black bear, 120 pound wolves and the worst animal of them all is the NRO. (Natural Resources Officer). I wish it was hunting season for NRO's
So I cannot identify a spider I found while digging on any identification charts. Who heres found a new species? Haha. Might try catch one and show it to an expert.
So I went down to my jumps with my mate for the first time in like 9 months.
Looks like a homeless person lives there permanently now
Had his little shitty tent set up a good'un between two jumps. We had a look inside and he had motorbike gloves, a sleeping bag, 4 cans of stella, a porno mag and some tinned food.

What annoys me when I'm building? Pit bikes tearing up a freshly built trail, and also walkers destroying features of our trails and putting logs across them despite the fact we built these trails from scratch to avoid their walking paths. Every week the trails get trashed. God only knows what I might do if I catch someone at it.

I recently caught a load if dudes down the woods... Easier to be fair, explain what's up and be adult than throw a shitstorm. Also I was walking once and found a jump. The sides were so bad I couldn't not slab them up. I guess that's acceptable though haha. I don't get what goes through walkers heads when they trash jumps...
I think they look over and just see piles of dirt that are not part of the landscape. They see jumps as ugly vandalism rather than works of art like we do. They cannot envision that people come there most weekends with bikes, dig, ride, enjoy nature etc. They literally just see them as piles of dirt that shouldn't be there. Might also associate jumps with litter and noise.
Normally once they see what they're used for and that a huge amount of work goes into them it's fine. It's just initial ignorance really. The perspectives walkers and mountain bikers have are different ends of the spectrum and makes it hard for them to understand each other's viewpoints

I had to kick 2 different sets of campers out of my trails this year, so annoying! I get that life is rough and it must suck sleeping out in the woods, but as I told them, there are many places to camp away from the jumps. One guy kept coming back after dark to camp, so we actually tore out the landing that he was camping under and re-used all of the wood elsewhere. Now we get to clean up all of his garbage.... douche!
