Best camping in the Kamloops area IMO is Paul Lake/Harper mountain. If you want to stay in a specific site then Paul Lake Prov campground is great. If you want to rough it in the bush then Harper has some great spots. I would stay away from silvery sands camp ground.

Hey, Kamloops locals. I'm coming to ride the ranch and Sun Peaks this summer. Any recommendations on a sweet campground that wouldn't leave to far away? Gonna stay in hotels at Sun Peaks so if any of you could give me suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks and we'll see you this summer.

iv seen peope camp in the bike ranch bottom parking lot before many times

uh Prichard is a detour to sun peaks- its no where near sun peaks just look on the map.
there's camping at heffley lake just 15 mins to sun peaks.
You guys don't know about the road that goes from Pinantan Lake to Sun Peaks.

Though I would agree the Heffley Creek way would be better for someone who doesn't know the area well.

Heres all the paths,

Pritchard way - red
Paul Lake way - blue
Heffley Creek way - green

I think he means its a ghetto place?

I wouldn't camp there unless you got a RV, its just a dusty wide-open parking lot.

Nope, I mean the parking lot is piss central. You camp there and you are camping in a lot of piss. Heh.

Do the shuttles start running during March and April?

Well there's only the one fellow, but last year he said he started April first. Who knows what's on the plate for this year as I have a feeling he is going to become a very busy man....

How does the shuttle work out there? Is it first come, first serve? Do you book like the CGP? I'm thinking I might make an April or May tour out there. I'm going nuts in Calgary.
