For being as hack as I am I don't pop a lot of tubes. Only break pedals and bend rims.

Never break pedals but yeah I bend rims far too much. Still kinda pissed at how cheesy my azonic outlaw was up front. First day on it had tried it perfect over shot a racer style jump and boom rim bent and unfixable

Its not the bolts that snap man.... You will still snap the axel if you do this. Infact you are more likely to snap your axel, as the bolts won't go first.

firstly, why do you even bother coming back

secondly, im not about to risk my anodized Ti bolts which are $20 a pop, when i can just use some high tensile bolts that are about $1 each.

also any weight pressing on the peg will create shear force between the peg and the dropout, any forces going into the hub from the peg go through the axle bolt.

agreed, I'm 165 and I've put my forks through some serious shit...

If you are gonna go the weight weenie route though, I'd go for a more AM oriented fork like the revelation or sektor

The sector is barely lighter than an RCT (only like 50-100g), which means it's pretty stupid to pick it over an RCT when you consider you would have to go about the trouble of getting it lowered and the fact getting it warrantied would be sketch because you weren't using it for it's intended purpose.

The revelation on the other hand is a fair amount lighter (300g) so is worth considering. It's expensive and you still have to get it lowered but it would be pretty dope with a 20mm axle and shit.

But for me it's between the RCT and your f*ck-ugly mother. Both are so close to 2kg it doesn't really matter and will take some serious shit - backed up by warranties.

RCT is probably a bit better quality of movement and the maxle light is handy if you take your wheel off. Also is pretty good looking.

Circus is nice and stiff, axle system is rock solid and an arse to get off and it's looks are debatable.

RCTs are average in my opinion. better than the sektor, but not worth the coin. id rather an x fusion or used fox for that price.

I disagree, I think RCTs are pretty good. They're almost minimalist. They don't try and do anything new. They just do what you need pretty well and at a good weight. They also look pretty decent IMO.

Also, lowered X-fusion vengeance?

How much does an rct weight?

EDIT: Just checked and my sektor is actually 250g lighter than the rct, for $350 less.

on paper theyre great, but then you ride one and it doesnt feel as consistent and smooth as other forks in that price range.
