A friend of mine recently gave up on his fixie project, a 70s road bike. He was mid way through stripping the paint when he gave it to me and im thinking of leaving it to create sort of a 'rat' look, but i cant find any pictures of anything similar to see if i like it, do you have any?

It's not rusted out enough to be a rat'bike but has been built up with random parts laying around to suit my needs for a Bad weather Ride...

its sunny out today though, good luck with your project

that's one thing I don't like about road bikes....even on my 27'' wheeled bike I have to have the seat slammed to get on to it...Lol...I'm 5'6''

and my inseam is 30'' so what would the best sized 700c frame be for me?

51/52/53 cm. Don't know how long your arms are. Top Tube length is most important.

Sorry, I'm not ignoring you, I just lurk the fixed threads every so often. I would use this as was advised to me to use. I'd say to get a new bike in your size if you have to ride with the seatpost slammed.

So I went to that link and got my measurements...

I'm wondering what the differnet sizings mean? there's "The Competitive" "The Eddy" and "The French"

Obviously I don't want the Competitive as I'm not gonna be racing or anything.....It's just for more or less cruising around town and being used as a commuter..

From the sounds of it I want the Eddy fit?

here's a screenshot of my measurements...

The French fit is better if you want a more comfortable riding position to cruise around.

I'm 5'6 to (i think) my ideal frame size is about 53cm s-t with a 54cm t-t, depending on the style of bike, i prefer my fixed gear's to be smaller

one thing i have found is some company's don't make the top tubes shorter for smaller frames, which is annoying.

I know some one who just built up a great looking bike with the same style frame, maybe do something similar?

Looks great with the classic road bike look and the larger tyres filling out the clearance
