I was told rear discs ruin the wheels due to the rim moving a little bit when landing ect

Out of curiosity what are you planning to use the frames for?

Well, you may all laugh but give a go at making them into one piece!

I know it sounds stupid, obviously they won't be as strong. But it would be nice to just get the experience in welding, and if I could make them nice and strong again ride them! I would add extra plating, supports and lots of welding but yes that would weigh it down but it doesn't bother me!

I'm a light rider anyway.

But yeah, and can always salvage parts of frame (i.e. dropouts and HT) and use them for a later build!

it's still a pain in the ass, and the fumes are absolutely terrible for you

It's not that hard, I have welded two frames. Do it in a well ventilated area and fumes are not a huge issue.

And heating the whole frame to a rediculous temperature before and during the welding to keep the strength?

Hey, if that's what ya do, then go for it! But by the time your done, you could have paid for a new frame, unless you have the tools you need, which I'm pretty sure most of us do lol
