Hello everyone,
I chime in once in a while. Wishing everyone a happy long weekend with much riding. Our local hill opened up too - Blue Mtn. I spent the day yesterday doing trail maintenance and receiving many high fives for the work.

Obee - I believe the quote is Lemmy Smile

whatup guzz. nice to hear from you dude. the quote- "i hate illinois nazis"- is from the blues brothers. hope blue mtn was fun. i used to enjoy blue all the time when i lived in t ronno.
rode moose today with the fam. phish, supergrover, sgt. moosehead all rode together with some non electronic friends of mine, and we had a hoot. the hill was prime, everybody having a good time. my demo 7 had new pads, rebuilt shock, new dual crown(well, new on the bike), new tires, stem, handlebars and pedals, and it felt probably better then it ever did.
ms obee had fun, kids had fun, bbq was fun.
fun funfun.

dragon- nice to get the bikes out. cool that you can ride with your wife. nice.

Sorry about the double postConfused
Ahhh nutz Obee, I thought it was something Kilmister said.
Glad to hear you got some shiny new bits for your ride - it's invigorating !! Sometimes I like my lbs more than the grocery store.

Dragon, this weekend seems to be perfect for all kinds of bikes. Ride safe.
All the best everyone !
Happy trails.

I liked the CK article on the front page.

That's why I have purchased and will continue to purchase CK stuff. My oldest CK headset is 11 or 12 now, and still turns nice and smooth!

My buddy and i walked into the newly renovated local beer store, and i walked into this stack of newness. I think this is what i've seen some folks talking about on here???? Anywho, great f'n beers! Tailwhip cream ale is delish, Dr. Funk nice and hoppy...These 12 soldiers didn't stand a chance. I hope that the shop continues to carry this product.

Did a 6lb pork shoulder on the Q yesterday, smoked with nice applewood chips. Put some brown sugar in the rub this time, and it seemed to work well. However, added a few too many chipotles to the sauce and things came out a little spicier than anticipated.

Going out to do some hill repeats in Fish Creek tonight. Gotta get the pumpers in shape for a June trip to Fernie. If anyone has local knowledge of those trails (yes i know there is a map/guidebook) i'd appreciate any suggestions for linking trails together to get a good 4-6 hour ride with equal parts up and down.

Sounds like everyone is having a great weekend. Stay safe.

CK headset is still running smooth after four seasons

CK hubs, about the smoothest running thing you'll ever experience. untouched and unsullied after the same amount of time. still shine up like they are new out of the box. yes, they are pricey and sure, people could find much cheaper options, but like many things, the higher upfront cost is worth considering if you are speccing out a high end bike build and you think you will keep that wheel set for a few years

CK: not just form, but function too

May 24 wrapping up. I worked, yay. The CK article was tres cool. I'm not into having any of that on my bike, but it's cool none the less. Did it rain all weekend out there? It did here. Normal for opening weekend.

edit:

I'm very happy for all you easterners who are getting into the beer out HERE. Phillips is one of the few I enjoy.

Ugh. Nothing like being woken up from a deep sleep by an early morning phone call from your web hosting company telling you that your company's website has just been suspended due to a DOS attack. Holiday Monday got off to a good start.
