I really like my Domains. BUT, I have the 302 model meaning only rebound adj. No compression or anything else. Actually I am really impressed with them despite all of this. Now its time to move on to something better (Meaning I have some extra cash to burn :tupSmile
My Ride. 2009 Scott Gambler FR20
My Style FR and DH technical trails. I dont race, but I do love going fast as hell and flying through the air. (I dont do x-ups cause they look gay, tweaking out a tail whip or a table top is much more styley)

My choices are the new Domain DC or Totems (coil of course). No reviews on the Domain DC just yet but I am sure they are worth the price. Both would be good, I guess it really boils down to if I want to keep with single crown or go double.
What do you think?
i was also impressed by the 302 model Beer

Actually I think I'm going to throw down and get some 40's. I always do this shit, "Should I get THIS or should I get THAT?" And then at the end get something completely different. My friend has the 40's and Totems and says there is no comparison. Even so I going to take his bikes out and test both. So now its between the 40's and the totems. But you never know, I just might get the Domain DC and with the money I save I could get a GoPro Hero HD. Decisions decisions.

How do domains blow? They are the most underated fork on the market. If your a hype whore then yes, they blow.(only because theyre not "bling, bling" expensive) If your a shredder then domains are pretty good because they do the job.

not mine? I have 318 is u-turn model. I think its not as progressive as i want it to be. Would it help if i change different lubricant oil?

picking up a voltage FR 30 that comes stock w/ a RS domain...

anything I should look to do to the fork to improve it?

lighter or heavier weight oil? if so, what Wt?
more or less CC of oil?

165lb. mainly smooth DH trails around here, with nothing major in the hucking department...will the spring be under or oversprung?

If so, where can I locate a heavier/lighter spring?

well to make it lighter you can put a titanium spring i know there exists boxxer titanium springs you could cut the spring but do they fit on domains??? i dont know... is it possible to tune a u-turn system like those of "160mm to 115mm" like to "180mm to 135mm" because i have a spare 180mm shaft ... and i would like to tune mine ... and to make a rock shox domain more progressive... well i added 10wt oil from "fox forks" instead the standart 5wt oil and it works wonderfull... its a rock shox domain 302 with a motion control system wich makes it a 318...

It is actually possible to extend the travel on a 160mm u-turn to 180mm.
I did this myself.
You need to add a 20 mm extension to the u-turn spring shaft.
I got one of these off some clever Germans who've been tinkering with travel extension for the domain u-turn and lyrik.
Apparantley the only difference between a 160 and a 180 mm Domain (yes even the spring) is the spring shaft.
All other parts are the same.
Extending the shaft on the u-turn spring therefore gives you more travel.

So has anyone had any time on the domain DC? Thoughts? Strengths? Weakness?

well compared to the single crown domain it wheights more 600 grams... i would say buy a boxxer rc... on chain reaction cycles the DC domain costs close of 500€ while the boxxer rc costs close of 700€ and it has almost the same wheight as a single crown domain... and it has mission control while the DC domain only has motion control...
