I'm 230 lbs and planning to get ibis mojo, will they stand with my weight?

most of the time I ride light AM with little jump(max of 2-3ft)

thanks

Sure, if you're smooth enough the Ibis Mojo is a great bike for a 230lb guy.

well, I'm not very smooth. I dont pick the lines half of the time, and I've been in the situation where a carbon seatpost cracked

it was a seatpost against aluminium frame that keeps dropping, so I ended up did a very-very tight and the cracked.. Frown

Umm, perhaps you should get an aluminum bike if you're not very smooth, on the heavy side and tighten bolts to the point you crack stuff.

I would consider the Ibis Mojo HD if I were you. It is the more robust version of the Mojo and would suit your size better, considering you will be over 240 pounds with hydration pack, and all your gear, etc.

If you get the regular model model, make sure to get one with the Lopes Link on it. This link increases stiffness and at your size, you will notice rear end flex on the Mojo without it.

+1 for the HD. Definitely don't buy the SL/WTF. At your weight, the manitou minute might only last a few minutes. Wink, the Talas/RP23 can probably handle you.

That said Ibis has a great warranty program. Ask about rider weight limits at your LBS.

I rode this last year and I am over 220 with all my gear. Carbon frames are way more robust than the posts. Stay away from Carbon posts. The RP23 and the Monarch from RS are nice on there.

I liked the test bike enough to buy it. Ya it is a great bike and the carbon is not something to worry / lose sleep over as this is a trail bike, not an XC racer. PM me with any questions you have.

no question, you should just buy one any concerns will soon be banished, spectacular bikes.
