Ultimate Traveling Bike Bag

Been renting bike boxes? Using cheap cardboard boxes? Well I think it’s time you got a real carrying bag for that precious bike.Due to popular demand, Planet X bike bags are now back in stock. One color only at this point, but who cares if it clashes with the airport worker's shirt, at least you won't be missing it at the luggage carousel.

Key features of this fabulous giant purse:

  • 2 Wheel pockets (Can hold a 26" wheel with a tire still on it, as long as the air has been released)
  • 1 Big pocket (Holding various pieces of kit, shoes, teddy bear)
  • 1 Small, thinner pocket (Holding 1 inner tube and a couple of bits)
  • 1 Long, thinner pocket (Holding 4 inner tubes or a few beers)

Padding is around 1 or 2 inches thick, and the only extra padding you probably need is on the bike - around stanchions and other sticky bits like cranks. But it’s not a necessity, just a precautionary measure.

The wheel pockets have extra padding and hard plastic plates around the hub area to protect the rotors/sprockets. Padding is also all round the internal zip pockets for the wheels, to protect components and clothes etc…. Heck, if you got left stranded at some airport you could almost live in it!! With careful packing I’ve seen one of my teammates pack two frames (V10 & Planet-X Jack Flash) inside (less wheels)! When traveling with my V10, I only have to remove the wheels, handlebars, pedals and detach the rear derailleur!! I’ve been using this bag for over two years now and it’s served me well!

Hey! There is even room for your hair care products!

Check them out on the Team Planet-X web site.
