How am I entered into a chance at winning the custom Trek Remedy during the Photo of the Year contest voting?By simply
voting, be it once or in each round as we progress to the eventual Photo of the Year winner, you will be entered for a chance to win this beautiful bike. (One entry per user, per round goes into a random draw for this beauty.)
How Does Photo of the Year Work?All photos taken and uploaded this year by users were eligible. Each Pinkbike user was able to nominate up to 3 different photos into the contest. The judges then spent several sleepless nights narrowing the nominated photos down to 32 and pit each photo randomly against another photo in a college basketball bracket-like showdown. At this point, users will vote on the match ups and the photo with the most votes will move on to the next round. So 32 photos will narrow down to 16, then 8, 4, 2 until there is a single photo deemed 2015 Trek Photo of the Year Powered by SRAM. The winner will receive a cheque for $5,000 for being chosen your favorite image of 2015.
Vote now for your chance to win!
MENTIONS:
@trek,
@SramMedia
I will take it anyways… I guess.
Beautiful photos which will in the end equal out to a beautiful bike. That is all.
I tried to vote for it for picture of the year, figured it'd up my chances, but it didn't let me, I guess I already used all my votes.
Posters! And we need posters.... Or just the chance to buy a hi-resolution copy of the finalists photo that I can print off on a large canvas

This isn't an ordinary spec list....... This is a M&S Spec List
NO PEDALS!!!!!!!
I hate this about new bikes.
And blah blah blah to those who say "I'd rather buy my own it's personal"
Back in the day when pedals were included a new bike and I'd rock em till they were sloppy and had no pins.....
Same methodology as the new Apple TV shipping without an HDMI cable and the internet losing their panties over it.
I already have one that meets my specific requirements in terms of size, quality and choice, so please don't change me extra for something I/We don't need.
The balanced bike mystery has been solved in the last photo showing a small metal stand...
I knew the floor wasn't magnetic! /s>
so, i will enjoy to vote without thinking about the prize..pinkbike is awesome
Why?
I don't understand the appeal...
But yeah, they could have two competitions though, one for pros and one for amateurs.
A camera can cost thousands of pounds/dollars, the lenses sometimes cost even more, EACH, and photographers have several in their bag at a time. They deserve to be included in this, even more than amateurs!
All that being said, to remove the professional photographers from the contest solely to give "amatuers a chance" would ruin the whole contest IMO. There's nothing stopping an amateur from getting into this contest. Any photo can be nominated and if you want to get nominated then get out there and shoot thousands of photos, learn the rules of composition, and perfect your craft as an artist (It's what all of these guys have done). In short, if you want to be in the contest you'[ve got to be one of the best, and that's what makes this contest the highlight of my year.
