  • 8 0
No... you're not. I was actually thinking the same while watching this vid. Beer
  • 3 0
 im still loving the brendogs
  • 2 0
My LBS had the Lacondeguy pedals on display when I was in last week. They looked so good, almost too good though....any riding on them would ruin the beautiful finish of them.
  • 2 1
I'd go with Lacons pedals. Brendogs are too average regarding their appearance
  • 3 0
buy both and mix em up.
  • 3 0
one on either side. problem solved

This video is so French it needs to be liberated.

The video is mediocre at best.
  • 5 0
I agree, the video line not clear at all. Nothing very interesting, you'd better go to a raw edit guys.

My mother told me to say nothing at all. It SUCKED! I never listen.
  • 2 0
that's why their fork sponsor is suntour, not rockshox fox bos marz
  • 7 0
Half shell for the bike park and full face for single track.
  • 3 0
SR Suntour freeride/big mountain team includes Doerfling, Buehler, Hopkins and now Sorge. If the forks survive these guys then we should be OK.

@felimocl yeah not much to see in terms of development on their epicon and durolux shox. I guess nobody are buying them.
@jaysmudger how did the 55 rc3 compare to the durolux rc2? I may need to get another fork since mine is going away for servicing...
@bkm303 I didn't know there was an air version of the XCR but i used the coil and it was terrible and much heavier than my kowa 160ss. anything above the raidon and epicon though are good value for the money.

also I think they've updated the EPICON name. some forks are coming in as the EPIXON which is a weird sounding name. I like the epicon better.

Yeah I have several friends who didn't want to spend more than like $900 on a new mtb, so a couple of them have XCR-Air. It's heavy as hell, but actually pretty smooth and stiff. Got reviewed well here: www.bikeradar.com/us/mtb/gear/category/bikes/mountain-bikes/hardtail/product/review-vitus-nucleus-275-vr-15-49142 I definitely think it's the best of the budget-level forks, plus here in the US Suntour does a trade-in program, which makes it really cheap to upgrade to a Raidon or Epicon when the time comes.

Looks to me that they trickled down the technology of the air suspension down to their xcr forks. pretty sweet imo. since the forks cost cheap.
  • 1 0
Yeah I mean when you compare features and performance vs price, the XCR Air is a pretty awesome beginner level fork. You get a 32mm stanchion, air spring, lockout, and adjustable rebound. There's even a tapered 15mm thru axle version. That's all for the same price as a RS 30 silver (formerly Dart), which is coil spung, no rebound adjust, and 30mm stanchion. XCR-Air makes an awesome beginner fork. Especially with the trade-in program. Suntour's doing all the right things; now they just need a good rear shock.

@jozhua130 the 55 RC3's that I had were the non ti ones that were really supple and great going DH but not so much uphill because they were heavy as hell due to a shit load of oil in the lowers and you could not service the cartridge, the Durolux's are nearly as supple but a lot lighter, totally serviceable including changing cartridge oil, you can change the height with roll pins or fox spacers (im running 170mm on a Titus el Guapo) and to be honest a good all round fork that is now going for silly prices (seen at £300). The tech inside is not cutting edge but proven and reliable, the Auron has very similar internals.

Yeah actually the Durolux should be pretty easy to find at an awesome price in Asia/Philippines too. They're up on taobao (China) brand new for like $375 US. I'm going to Shanghai for work this summer and thinking about buying an Auron or Aion. Prices over there are awesome.

They are solid forks. And so simple to service yourself
  • 5 3
Completely accurate portrayal of what happens when 3 bored guys hatch an idea in a garage. Cool video
  • 2 3
The only bikes I've ever seen sr suntours on are cheap, low-end ones you would buy at sport chek or Walmart. I didn't even know they made high end components
  • 4 0
Sr Suntour markets to the entry level market and the Veteran mountain biker. They have improved a lot in their products over the past 2 years and their Fork line up is actually really good, Good forks that are really easy to service yourself
  • 1 0
Hmm. The more you know I guess
  • 1 0
And also Sr Suntour's downhill fork the RUX has been repeatedly tested in Rampage
  • 1 0
just putting it out there this wasn't meant to be smart-ass comment haha. i seriously didn't know Smile
  • 1 0
Sr Suntour also manufacture DVO so they must know something about suspension.
  • 3 2
This video was about as cool as a bike with a Suntor for on it.

Auto correct ruined your joke. Shame. It was funny.

 Ha! Hilarious! Take that Athertons...!
  • 7 9
Does anybody actually trust suntour components??
  • 8 0
Julie Bresset did when she rode her Axon Werx Carbon fork to a Gold Medal in the 2012 Olympics. Wink
  • 3 1
Fair enough, if it wins her gold they must be doing something properly. Personally I wouldn't buy from them again after my last forks snapped at the lowers on a notably easy trail and they still haven't responded to my numerous warranty claims
  • 7 0
Hell yes dude. Been riding on an Epicon for over a year and it's awesome. I know people on Raidons and Aurons who are really happy with them too. Not sure what their service is like in Europe but here in the US they've always responded to my emails in less than a day or two, and been really helpful answering questions.
  • 2 1
suntour forks are pretty good no on par with what fox, rockshox, marzocchi and boutique suspension makers but for the amount of money you pay for, you cant go wrong with them. did have problems with their rear shock, an epicon rc. not much to see on their rear shocks tho i guess no developments as of late there.
  • 2 0
it's interesting when you see many pro riders with Scott SR Suntour and Marin SR Suntour teams seem run DBinclines and fox CTDs on the rear. Just thought I might put it out there
  • 3 0
If you don't go any lower than the Suntour Raidon airs most of their range above that is great value for money and piss easy to service, I have had/got Raidons (coil - not too good, sticky and heavy), Epicons (good performers till bike got nicked) and Durolux RC2 (very good for the money). In the past had Pike 454 air, Reba RL and Marzocchi 55RC3 as a comparison, have not tried their rear shocks though.
  • 2 0
Honestly even the XCR air is a good fork if you're a beginner or on a serious budget. It's heavy but super reliable, smooth, and adjustable enough. I'd take it over a RS XC30 or whatever any day. But yeah, I think they have yet to really overhaul their rear shock. I'm sure they'll get around to it soon, now that the Auron, Aion, Rux, Epicon, and Raidon are pretty well sorted.
