MAES IS A MACHINE !! already at 15 he was better than anyone else here in belgium, the dude was faster than vink while he was still in Belgian nissan downhill cups..... What wouldn't I give to see him back at Fort William this year, to show who's the boss. (he won last year, doing the world cup round "for fun" Big Grin )
  • 5 2
That guy has probably already earned the title of "the most versatile rider of 2015" in all those contests that come around Christmas Big Grin Holy moly...

Great pic's.... But.... Tisk...Tisk.. Photographers!!!! Not a single picture of Chris Powell who races maybe once a year... And crushes his way to 8th!!
  • 2 0
I was thinking the same thing. Many pics of stars who ended out of the top ten though. (actually - looks like he's in the second picture hiding from the sun :-/

Chris Powell is a legend, and should be featured for sure!

Leigh Donovan qualified 3rd in the pro women's class, but only signed up to the Legends slalom later in the evening, beating out Marla Streb, so that's cool. Bummed for our TLD pro's that quali'd well, but had some bad luck. Slalom rules, we need to make it the norm, best discipline.

Since when is upper 50's/low 60's "hot as Africa"? Stupid
  • 1 0
 south africa maybe ;-)
  • 1 0
Definitely not in the 50s fitting the day at this time in SoCal
  • 1 0
What does Socal have to do with anything? Sea Otter is in Monterey... it was 58 degrees at the time the article was posted with a high of 62 that day.
  • 1 0
 you seem agitated
  • 1 0
It's just poor writing... 58 degrees is sweatshirt weather, not "hot as Africa" lol

I was there on Saturday, when it was warmer than Sunday (the day this article was about) and it was anything but hot.

I would agree that pinkbike articles arent written at the same caliber as the New York Times or The American Scholar but I do feel like some writers in MBA are better writers so that says something.
