The Leaf Blower dates back to 2011, when the board of the Stowe Mountain Bike Club figured it may be fun to throw a party to commemorate the end of another stellar riding season. The goal was to throw a day long bike party, enjoy a locally sourced feast, indulge in some beverages and revel in general shenanigans with friends, old and new. The entire mountain biking community quickly rallied around the concept, and it has grown into the festival that it is today, attracting visitors from all over the Northeast and beyond.

The Leaf Blower was conceived with the notion that it would be open to all, a public event that embraces both the local community and the visitors and bring them together for the simple purpose of playing on two wheels and enjoying the surroundings. Today, we see riders coming down from Canada, up from the southern states and everywhere in between to join the festival. Many of the out of town participants are first timers and come to take advantage of the event for a guided ride around Stowe's singletrack.

Volunteers come in to lead rides for all abilities, and local businesses do their part as well by supplying a plethora of prizes for the bike contests and games throughout the evening.
It is only through the efforts of countless volunteer hours, and a community brought together by the simple love of exploring the outdoors on two wheels that the Leaf Blower continues to expand today...So don't be shy, come out and show your support to the people who make the trails possible! All proceeds from the event go to Stowe Mountain Bike Club, and are invested directly back into the trails we love.
