2016 Saracen Kili Flyer Elite

We’ve focused the Kili Flyer to just one outstanding Limited Edition bike for 2016 in a quest to build the perfect UK trail bike. For 2016 we’ve refined the travel to 130mm further improving its descending ability without adding weight.

The chassis is built using a mixture of Toray 24T/40T UD carbon and features our signature TRL (Tuned Ride Link) suspension platform; an oversize single main pivot for stiffness and a linkage to drive the shock. Efficient pedalling on the up and plush, bottomless feel on the descents are the key characteristics of TRL.

The Kili Flyer Elite is a no compromise bike. Suspension at the front is handled by the new Fox 34 Factory Float fork which is lighter and stiffer than last season’s 32 Float. Rear suspension is managed by the new Fox Factory Float EVOL rear can that is fast becoming the rear shock of choice. Shimano introduces the amazing Deore XT 1 x 11 groupset for 2016 and we’ve gone the “full monty” with drivetrain and braking.

Finishing the spec are Kore Durox bars, Kore Durox Tubeless ready rims and an internally routed KS LEV Integra dropper post.

As great as the bike is, I'm more exited about the tires its rocking. *Drooling*

Exactly! A few pros have been using them (Aggy, Berrecloth) and I get more and more desirous of them every time I see them.

They don't fit on a modern bike though, they look terrible.

Will you sell spares for it? Or will you just fob people of like you do with your other models. I'd never buy saracen. The company is a joke. My 2010 frame is scrap as they still don't.have the bushes in stock after 8 months of waiting.

A friend was in a similar position with a pivot sleeve in a 2014 rear triangle that had become unbonded from the frame... possible to buy a new rear triangle, no it was not.

Personally I dont find dealing with saracen/madison/sportline a problem at all, have sorted out relevant spares for my customers a number of times!

Had a bad experience dealing with madison myself when I had an issue with my Ariel. Customer service left much to be desired.....

did you go via a bike shop or yourself?

I've tried both. My local bike shop who I am also good friends with has setup an email alert for when the parts come in stock. He hasn't had any emails from them. I email saracen and they told me they would be in stock in 2 weeks. That never happened. I also check their website regular and they are always out of stock. I'd never have bought it if I'd realised it didn't use normal bearings I could buy from anywhere.

You really can't fault Madison/Sportline at all. They warranty and replace anything wrong with there frames usually within a week! (To the original owner of course)

well if you can get me one one of these:

ARIEL Norglide/pivot full service kit 2010/2011 model only (i need the bolts as well as the norglide bushes)

I can't seem to get it.

No size info, no geometry info, and no pricing. How are people supposed to decide if this bike is for them without that info?

"We’ve focused the Kili Flyer to just one outstanding Limited Edition bike for 2016"

Not limited enough! That frame colour and tyre combo looks rank.

skinwall tyres on a bike for the UK? how long will they stay looking like that even after being cleaned???

there is plenty on great tyres which are just plain black

 the rest looks good though!

Nice to see a condom manufacturer has branched out into making bike components.

I love my 2014 Ariel but ill never buy saracen again because of the constant play in the bushings. I have to change the norglide bushings literally every few weeks and its never completely gone.

Why don't they just state the carbon they use, T600, T700, T800, T1000 or correct HM spec. 24T is meaningless, it's not a designation from Toray. is it to hide the fact they are using the lowest spec IM carbon?
