Preview: Rumhead Enduro and Bootleg Bike Festival

Back by popular demand is the second annual Rumhead Enduro and Bootleg Bike Festival in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. This year's event is held on the weekend of 18-19 July. United Riders Of Crowsnest (UROC) is building on the great success of last year to bring you an even better event in 2015.

THE RUMHEAD ENDURO
This year the race will be held over two days with the prologue starting Saturday at 1500 on the recently completed flow trail, Berma Grin, located at Pass Powder Keg Ski Hill in Blairmore. Sunday will be composed of four more great stages in the York Creek area of Coleman, including York with a Fork, School of Rock to Pineapple Express, Sooper Trooper, and finishing with the spectator friendly Whistling Post. Also new for this year will be an Elite Men's category. Both the Elite Men and Open Women will be racing for equal cash prizing; 1st prize is $250, 2nd prize is $150, and 3rd prize is $100.

THE BOOTLEG BIKE FESTIVAL
If you are not planning on racing and are looking to take part in the festivities, there will be lots of events for the whole family to enjoy, including:
- Demo bikes available from Giant, Cannondale, KHS, and Pivot
- Group rides both Saturday and Sunday
- Kids skills camp and events
- Breakfast available for purchase both Saturday and Sunday morning.

Local vendors will be in attendance and there will be plenty of food and refreshments on offer. Camping is available for both trailers (unserviced) and tents. Camping is $15 per night and located right at Pass Powderkeg Ski Lodge.
