Episode 3 : 44 Days and Rolling

Our first stop on our Utah journey was to catch up with Quentin Morisette from Over the Edge, along with Jon Kennedy, Kyle Thomas, Kelly McGarry, Billy Lewis, Eric Porter and the entire Diamond Back crew. We set out on a fun adventure with cameras in hand and caught some amazing riding under the Utah sun. After seeing the Diamond crew throw down outside of Virgin, we headed east to Moab for a good 'ole fashion bro down!

We hit Moab and quickly met our buddy Aaron Braggs for some building, riding and laughs. Aaron took us out and showed us some of the 'Moab Goods', and we spent days building and riding just outside the Jeep infested town. After some successful rain and shenanigans in Moab, we hit the road again to help build with COPMOBA (Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association) outside Grand Junction, CO. We jumped out of the truck, grabbed shovels and helped build a new section on the Gunny Loop turning raw desert into fresh trail. The four days we spent in Utah and Colorado made us anticipate the lush green rain forest of North Carolina, so we quickly saddled up in our 4-wheel steed and pushed on to the East Coast! Stay tuned for episode 4 next week!!!!

Absolutely love it. Can't wait for the North Carolina segment. By all accounts, it's got great riding, but you can't find ANY high quality videos of it (just YouTube handlebar mounts). It'll be so nice to see somewhere other than BC and Utah for a change.

They nailed the moab experience. I'm not sure what it is about that red dirt that leads a man to mustaches, whiskey, and fireworks. Maybe it's left over adrenaline from some of the world's greatest mountain biking.

That last part of the descent going into what seems to be a parking lot is just amazing.
Thank you for leting the voice be heard more than the music.

Why do they do more DH than XC? In my opinion, they should have it balanced, because isn't the point of this to show different aspects of mountain biking? Not all of the U.S.A. are DHers. Some of us are trail riders, and some of us XC. Show us a little also.

The USA is huge and with only 6 weeks to focus their efforts, you can expect to see a bias towards Gravity riding as those are the areas that are getting a lot of recognition around the USA for their efforts. XC has been battling too for land access and legal building practices and these guys are noting it all. I'm pumped that they are advocates for riding and trying to open more eyes to the building side of things too.

This looks like an XC trail (granted, there's plenty of downhill on it). I don't understand the proliferation of motorcycle helmets in mountain biking. Sure, if you're doing totally gnarly freeride, it makes sense, but lots of guys are just flowing soft forest trails with a big Darth Vader cap on.
