So my answer to this summer's adventure is Big Mountain Bike Adventures. They are there to create an experience of a lifetime on a mountain bike. Make your summer unforgettable with Alpenrock DH, join me in a 9-day downhill trip in picture-perfect Switzerland! More details inside,

The anticipation for this trip is huge, and growing every year. As both 2010 scheduled trips are full of stoked clients already, a 3rd set of dates has been set up to deal with the masses! Alpenrock DH will run from August 5-13 to accommodate this high-demand trip, and make a few more riders' dreams come true this summer. Guided by professional rider, Joe Schwartz, this is an opportunity to ride with one of the most down-to-earth people in the industry, in a setting that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Big Mountain Bike Adventures will set your vacation up for success in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and set you up to drop-in on a land sculpted for downhill mountain biking.

In August 2009, I was fortunate enough to end up in Switzerland with Big Mountain Bike Adventures, and it would be a trip that I would soon not forget. A description on my experiences can be read here, in my story Walking the Talk of Alpenrock:

Big Mountain Bike Adventures - Alpenrock DH 2009

The trail riding in Switzerland is unparalleled globally and sets an international standard for the concept of what long descents truly are. Everywhere you look there are trails, all of which are accessible by the nation's immense network of lifts and transportation options. From cog trains and vans, to gondolas and bus shuttles, Big Mountain has orchestrated this 9-day adventure to flow flawlessly. With a trip background designed from local knowledge and years of research, the trip is designed to bring you to some of Switzerland's hidden nuggets, while still showing you its famous bike parks like Crans-Montana, Verbier, and Zermatt!

For that price are happy ending messages included after every ride, seems incredibly inflated just for a guide and hotel, are there heli's involved gold bullion breakfasts?
