On one unusually sunny and warm winter day in the Pacific Northwest, we set out with only the best of intentions to film a marketing video that would hopefully be used for the launch of our new 150mm travel, carbon Uprising trail bike. You know the kind of video - scenic vistas, perfect weather, and a bag of reasons why should buy this bike.

Well... like a hyperactive 13 year old who missed a dose of Ritalin, we too lost focus and completely failed in our mission. So what we are left with is an edit of us chasing around Evil World Cup rider Luke Strobel and wasting our only sunny weekend of winter... hope it was worth it...

i dont comment a heap here on PB, but that was one of the best videos i have seen. Well... like a hyperactive 13 year old who missed a dose of Ritalin, we too lost focus and completely failed in our mission. So what we are left with is an edit of us chasing around Evil World Cup rider Luke Strobel and wasting our only sunny weekend of winter... hope it was worth it... hell yes it was worth it!! mad skills the way he throws that bike around. loved it.

No need to blow up berms with your rear brake when you have real skills. Trail ripping goodness right there! Best edit in a longtime
  • + 11
Couldn't agree more. Such good riding int hat video.
  • + 7
 This dude flippen slays!!!
  • + 11
Yeah I hate seeing someone put their foot out and hammer the brake in a berm, you should be able to keep your feet where they are soposed to be and let the rear tire drift into the berm without stopping wheel from spinning! This guy was shredding proper
  • + 4
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ i give up, I'm never biking again. j/k.. that was crazy flow, nice edit.
  • + 1
@pevensey I saw him put his foot out a few times, but he was still riding really good
  • + 2
 So smoooth
  • + 2
The forces he must've been experiencing in those corners are unreal! I agree with the OP, true trail shredding sweetness in that there vid! Seattle, I love you!
  • + 1
 yup, amazing skills

^^^This^^^ Damn fine riding on a trail that looks like wicked fun.

are evil ever going to update their god damn website?
  • + 1
 ...it's coming. =)
  • + 31
Why would they do that. all it would do is sell more product, increase there bike line-up, and make people HAPPY!!
.....remember, they name is "EVIL"
  • + 2
Best bike name I have heard in ever.
[Reply]
  • + 22
Now that is a mean trail bike video!
  • + 4
that made me want to ride! (made me feel like a sissy as well since he was shredding that trail on a trail bike!)
  • + 1
That trail has soo much flow that evil looks really good, looks like a sick bike for shredding some great trails.
  • + 1
He shreds harder on his trailbike than I do on my freeride bike...... Respect.
  • + 5
... he is a World Cup racer. He shreds harder than pretty much everybody, with fewer than a few hands full of exceptions (21 to be specific if we look at the 2012 World Championships).

ninja focus at 3:05.. coolest 2 seconds of any edit this year

Now that bike doesn't look like any fun at all! Ha! Smile What a great video! It was so much fun to watch that I had to play it twice... And now I'm headed for the back yard to go ride my bike in circles as I wait for the snow to melt.
[Reply]
  • + 6
It one of the hundreds of trails that are littered throughout Oregon and Washington. PNW kicks ass!!!
[Reply]
  • + 3
Sick. Cant wait to see how this bike climbs... I see a possible evil future for myself if it can climb like a trc, force, remedy, mojo etc. Great tunes..altho id stick with the darkside theme..slayer etc
[Reply]
  • + 4
Really makes you think if u really need a 200mm dh sled to ride the stuff you ride.wish the snow would melt so I could get back up and riding
[Reply]
  • + 5
Evil should start good marketing by updating their website, they're still advertising the Revolt.
[Reply]
  • + 4
i could have sworn that guy was danny hart. was it just me, or did it look a lot like him?
  • + 8
He also looks a bit like Frodo too. Guy is absolutely killin' it.
  • + 11
Come on now, Luke isn't THAT ugly...

[Reply]
  • + 1
how is evil as a company? dose anyone have experience with them as an owner of one of their bikes. the sweet shop i go to where i live dose not like the company after bad customer support a while back after getting a few of the dh bikes from them, is this true or is this just shop bs to sell me some bigger named bike they have sitting around. they say they will get me this bike if i want it and will do what i fully want. should i listen to the shop and pass or follow what i really want.

Jesus! That guy can ride. I must look like a grandma on a walker, and I thought I was quick in spots...
[Reply]
  • + 3
So that's what the "extreme mode" lever does. Didn't see that on my CTD suspension.
[Reply]
  • + 3
So Sick! I love how this guy is shredding the crap out of this gnar while looking like an XC rider on an XC bike!
[Reply]
  • + 3
I see that Troy Lee A1 helmet makes you shred trails harder...is he going to race enduro?
[Reply]
  • + 4
too bad the evil website cant be viewed on an ipad .....
[Reply]
  • + 2
I tried following him down Stevens pass last year...what an exercise in futility...ripper
[Reply]

Jesus that was amazing riding! I could not help thinking though that why not wear a FF helmet, he is ungodly quick and one small mistake into one of those tree's would fuck him up so bad.

Video is awesome! Hurry up and get some details about actually selling that frame! This video has helped to make my day worse though with the sudden flurry of snow we have once again over here.
[Reply]
  • + 1
Finally a video that doesn't have stupid, useless, drag-out-a-one-second-clip-to six-minutes, slow motion. More video makers should take a lesson from this. Well done.
[Reply]
  • + 1
unreal flow, but the editor really didnt need to speed up the FPS, hes fast enough, just made it jerky for no reason, props to the riding!
[Reply]
  • - 1
That vid would have been so much sicker if Luke were riding a 650b! (j/k)
After reading all your posts, I feel so lucky that I can go ride great trails - right now - and almost any day in winter. After viewing this, I am so ready to go ride!
[Reply]
  • + 1
I really need to concentrate on my study, but after watching this I just want to go up the hills an dig trails like this in the woods. And ride them!

is this black diamond in Seattle?
  • + 1
I don't think it is. I ride out there once or twice a week and didn't recognize the trails. The trails out there aren't as flowy (aside from the shorter runs at the freeride park) and are more for xc...but that guy could shred just about anything so I could be wrong.
[Reply]
  • + 1
gnarbington.....I will defenitely add ths to my list of vod's

What kind of fox rear shock is that at 0:32? The CTD lever is weird, it almost looks like a DHX air with CTD.
  • + 1
Looks like the new enduro shock they're testing. The Talas dial on the 34 is different too, I think they're testing a new talas cartridge and damper specifically for enduro racing, Lars Stenberg has the proto shock too
