BME #1, Angel Fire/Taos shuttled racers into the backcountry and up the longest lift in the U.S. for two days, five stages, and countless rock gardens at Angel Fire Bike Park, throwing every kind of riding at racers. A true test of all-around skill and all-day riding ability set the true Enduro racers a part from those who just showed up for the ride.
Ross Schnell (Trek) and Kelli Emmet (Giant) took a commanding lead from Stage 1 on the South Boundary Trail putting several seconds into their competitors. Day 2 of BME #1, Angel Fire/Taos kept racers of the edge of their seats with near-instantaneous results popping up after every stage. Some say it came down to tire selection and keeping it upright for the weekend, but everyone knows it came down to who wanted it the most.

#1 Angel Fire/Taos, The Ultimate Enduro Experience
Balancing speed, technical prowess and fitness is the name of the game for excelling in the world of enduro racing. The stages ranged from pedal-heavy fast singletrack to bonafide downhill course, challenging riders gear and skills.
Nate Hills (SRAM/Mavic/Yeti) is no stranger to the enduro circuit and exemplifies enduro racing with a background in both pro downhill and cross country racing. Expect to see Hills at all Big Mountain Enduro events and North American Enduro Tour stops.
Riders enjoyed getting air throughout the weekend. Day 2 is where the gravity folk made up some ground.
Heather Irmiger's smile says it all... when she talks about transitioning into enduro racing, the real mountain biker inside comes to life. Irmiger has an accomplished background in racing World Cup cross country for many years, and is finally enjoying the finer points of mountain biking racing enduros this season.
Stage 2 shot riders straight out of the gate at the top of the Chile Pepper Express. A short sprint into Ziggy followed by 10 minutes of holding on for dear life.

with that said, it still would be a great idea to have a calender with ALL the events (XC, 'enduro', gravity games, world cups, other races like sea utter, etc etc), even if xc is boring
Bam!
Don't think this event was on there but this calender is pretty good. You can't check the boxes and narrow down the events to region and some other categories too.
WAY to fast to not have good protection! Watch out for the FOG (Fast old guys! ) at BME ! good work again, c ya in the Butte!
