yeh totally...kids done nothing so far. Except that result from Colorado and ohh..I dunno...leading the FMB tour for most of the year from winning pretty much every euro event.
Sorry, I'm not the biggest slopestyle follower I think it's pretty cool to watch, I dunno much about it though.... but the caption under the Pilgrim photo "Sam Pilgrim showing that his finish at Crankworx Colorado was no fluke." I don't understand it... Was he not right up there last year too? And leading the fmb tour for a while if I remember rightly...
i agree with both your comments. us brits are guilty of grouping all you people into one stereotype: fat, dumb, easily led by marketing, trigger happy and A-whoopin and A-Hollerin'... hahahaha
Sam has only one decent result in North America and most of his contest wins were at dirt jump comps other than the Adidas slopestyle a few years ago where he took the smaller options on a hardtail. This is the first time I've seen him on a squishy bike as I didn't see how he got 9th at Chatel. I'd love to see him pull out a 720 and a double whip like he does on his hard tail in Europe.
Um, just about everyone has nukes (1st world). Not exactly something to be proud of anymore. @RaleighVoid: We're pretty guilty of that too, but go to Germany and find a McDonalds, place is packed more than in America all hours of the day. It's crazy Lines sometimes going out the door edit: nukeproof
I think pilgrim has done amazingly well for someone comming from britain who doesnt ride a full sus day in day out like alot of the riders in the comp, and for someone who never rides slopestyle, because in the uk it hardly exists
I think its really nice to see that Sam Pilgrim has put on his fullface helmet and rides a full suspension bike, Its about time for it. Some of you are idiots blaming eachother, USA VS UK bla bla bla! not all of US people are idiots but scott-townes is one of them so dont blame all. Scott are you really a bike rider?
Why all this samey commenting about Pilgrim? Oh WAIT, Pilgrim was leading the FMB because of dirt jump comps, THAT'S RIGHT... Almost forgot, so much man love going on over him on here... Kinda weird.
Are you talking about the McDonald´s at U.S. military bases in Germany? hahahaha, of course they are meant to be packed more than in America.. and what were you doing there at McDonald´s in Germany anyway? Couldn´t find any better food to eat?
I think its more like: "Judges judging while girls take photos of themselves, Big Brad talks on the microphone and a kid thinks 'holy crap that water looks amazing'."
I'm assuming the same way we do it in the snow. Start to build up a pad. Move the tree over to the pad with a backhoe (or similar) and some dudes. Stabilize it. Then finish the pad and strengthen it by covering it with dirt.
It's a feature designed to weed out inferior riders, well sort of, inferior in this context might not be the right word!
Typically it's a jump or drop or something at the beginning of a track that basically says if you can't do this, don't attempt the trail.
