I have absolutely no idea what I have just seen...there appears to be some sort of karate break dance back flip thing near the end and watching it 12 times I still can't work out what's going on! I can do a bunny with SPDs...I feel soooo inadequate.
  • 4 0
Greg's flip varial, or Special flip. Whatever you want to call it.
  • 11 0
I was proud of myself being able to go back and forth in some quarter pipes today Eek
  • 5 0
You don't need SPD pedals to bang little bunnies.
  • 14 0
well i see your triple backflip and raise a straight air
  • 3 0
I thought they had reached their limit 2 or 3 years ago...and now I see a 16 yr old baby doing an unbelievable no hands-cashroll..where are we gonna get??
  • 3 0
 I can do a 1 hander? Razz
  • 1 0
I can do a crank flip? Wink
  • 1 0
Yeah, where is the limit and is there even one?
  • 3 0
new bmx tricks: not funny anymore since 2007
  • 2 0
as MTB has been growing up as a sport, BMX has been growing up as a TRICKtionary!!!
  • 5 0
Sam Pilgrim needs to watch this and get some new trick ideas! Big Grin
  • 27 7
As much as this impresses me doing tricks like that still doesn't appeal to me as much as shredding a gnarly big mountain line.
  • 15 1
agreed im not BMX's biggest fan, but its two wheels so its cool, but seriously MTB is so far behind BMX in terms of tricks atm. shit on that vid was insane Smile but would still rather watch a world cup race of red bull rampage!!
  • 7 1
i love MTB, but you really cant compare MTB to BMX. i mean they are so different, and they both have aspects that make our jaws drop to the floor.
  • 3 2
Totally agree. Furthermore, this is PROOF of why freestyle mtb holds NO interest for me anymore. Big tricks on big mountain lines is rad, but park-setting type stuff just doesn't blow my mind any more.
  • 2 0
Same with DJ. I watch VOD nearly every day, but it takes something pretty amazing to get me stoked on a DJ vid nowadays.
  • 18 0
I think my mind just blew up of insaneness
  • 18 0
I don't usually watch BMXing things. But mega props! That was so sick and mega mind F**K!
  • 3 0
Dude, my mind blew up, then the pieces blew up like popcorn in the microwave! Insane riding, unreal how it has progressed!
  • 19 2
they did a great job hiding the wires and pulleys on these
  • 11 2
Im gonna guess the triple flip is coming soon from Andreu and then Semenuk and Killick can both frontflip bar

flag CX-409 (Jun 20, 2012 at 12:55) (Below Threshold)
also triple backflip could be landed in near future Big Grin
  • 2 1
That's what he said from Andreu
  • 2 1
I could see Andreu come out with the triple flip sometime in the next few years and a really hope to see a cashroll in mtb soon, that is one rad trick. Didn't I also hear something about Montgomery thinking about a 1080? I may be wrong.
  • 1 1
WTF i had a total blank spot there! lol
  • 2 1
If I saw them doing these tricks in real life, I would scream like a girl from being so exited!
  • 11 1
 video game??
  • 7 0
that being said, they need to make another BMX/DJ video game that was as epic as the Dave Mirra series...
  • 4 0
They should make another Downhill game i think theres only downhill domination, i loved that game but imagine one for ps3 or xbox with some good graphics.........nevermind i dont have a ps3 or an xbox but still
  • 1 0
There is also one called "No Fear Downhill Mountain Biking" for PS1
  • 5 0
Damn man, that's insane!!! Some gnarly tricks.. It looks like they just throw the bike and hope the tricks done before they land.. BMXers are crazy, props to them.. All the BMX haters should grow up and accept that those guys are nuts, they are as passionate as us for MTBs..
  • 3 0
this is some amazing, ninja sh*t going on in the air. amazing athletes! i respectfully claim that the potential for flow... from point a to point b... is what keeps me coming back to mountain biking. these are impressive impressive BMX jumps... sessions... but i admit that the very best moments for me are those following a friend or 4 down a fast and flowy line, whooping and hollering, enjoying speed and brotherhood.

still though... these are amazing athletic accomplishments.
  • 8 1
They may be able to do amazing tricks on perfectly groomed jumps but I doubt many of them would 3 the Oakley drop at Red Bull Rampage But those tricks were crazy!
  • 4 1
 I'd take that bet
  • 3 0
give some of these guys a mtb and they would kill it. cant remember who it was and im too lazy to look it up but didnt a bmx'r guy win white style this year and he was on a mtb for like a week?
  • 3 0
I wouldnt take that bet. Given a bike with 10 inches of travel and a bit of practice I am sure a bunch of pro bmxers could do it.

As seen in this video, pro bmxers have balls of steel and unbelievable control over their bikes. More people have access to bmx, meaning there is more competition, and better riders. These guys do huge drops all the time with no help from suspension, sloped softer landings, and lipped take offs. I doubt many pro mountain bikers would pick up a bmx and do this www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6G7kov-G44
  • 4 0
It surprise me how many of you dudes/girls didn't grow up riding BMX bikes all over the place and eventually transition over to MTB or even still ride BMX and MTB too.

Flex your head.
  • 2 0
this should be the nail in the coffin. mtb needs to stick to the mountain. i love all forms of cycling but trying to do what bmx has done for years on a 26 or 24 is just flat out pointless. i think mtb should migrate its style closer to mtx with bigger longer airs with more moto influenced tricks. bmx is the perfect platform for the spinny tail whippy bar spinny tricks and damn they are good at it.
  • 4 0
decade! was one of the first bike tricks and will always be one of the coolest
  • 4 0
I don't care who you are, that there is some of the most insane tricks you have ever seen! Hands down!
  • 5 0
Drew Bezanson always blows my mind. Love the huge transfers!
  • 2 0
A lot of these crazy circus tricks were insane, but I gotta give props to Drew Bezanson, that spine wall tap thing was nuts, and he's always coming up with crazy lines wherever he ends up.
  • 1 0
The crazy flipping spinning stuff is entertaining, but part of what I like about Drew’s stuff is that you can see the progression to Big Mountain riding. The spines, taps, transfers, big air, and so on can all be scaled up and built into free ride lines.
  • 1 0
In a way, Drew's lines reminds me of Bearclaw at Rampage: not the most technical tricks out there but the lines they manage to ride are epic.
  • 4 0
I would love to hear Rob warner's commentary on this
  • 3 0
I think about 1 minute in he' d have a stroke!
  • 3 0
Now all the tricks i thought were "unrealistic" in dave mirra 2 are reality lol
  • 4 0
In my opinion... Always....The Groundbreakers for all of cycling!!
  • 1 0
makes all those red tricks in Dave Mirra bmx seem not all that unrealistic now.
Was there a t-whip - double t-whip back in there?
  • 3 0
 Rest in peace Dane Searls
  • 2 1
Sick! I wonder what Matt Hoffman would say about the evolution of bmx tricks...
  • 1 0
drew bezanson's air over that walkway is still one of my favorites! makes me want to add a bmx bike to my collection haha
  • 1 0
what are half of these tricks called. they all look like ninja flips and stuff
  • 1 0
I get dizzy very quickly, prob. a good choice of mine to ride enduro. Maaaaaaaaad props to these guys
  • 1 0
has no one noticed there is still a
lot of 2012 left to be making a video of the best bits?
  • 1 0
To uask when will we see these tricks on MTB well the answer is not untill someone grows some BIG F*%#$ BALLS!!
  • 1 0
these tricks are insane but keep in mind a bmx is like a baseball and a mtb is an anvil. which is easier to throw around?
  • 1 0
There should definitely be a flatland segment in crankworx this year. stupid "article".

  • 7 1
Yep, mtb is always playing catch up. At least at the park and DJs.
  • 9 10
MTB DJ'ing: Where shitty bmx'ers go if they want to become pro.
  • 3 6
race bmx on a downhill course or take it off a 50ft cliff. you wont have any wrist or ankles left.
  • 2 2
Bmx off a 50 ft cliff is the wrong tool for the job... Needless to say there is very little qualified to do that kind of 50 foot work...
  • 2 1
Jarekmrkt, I wasnt saying anything bad about bmx. I loved this video and give them mad props but to say "mtb has nothing on this" is like what you said its the wrong tool for the job. mtb is a different sport than ninja flips. lets see these guys do this on a 30lb mtb. bmx has their fancy tricks but mtb jumps have way more height. its two different worlds. they both are equal. lets bring back the 90s when bikers bashed roller blades not each other.
  • 1 0
I wasn't implying you were bashing bmx, I was suggesting you wouldn't WANT TO use a Santacruz V10 to do a flare to foot jam in a QP nor would you WANT TO break your ankles ankles racing the C-CUP on a 20" trick bike. But them again who am I speculate what people want to do Wink
  • 1 0
i would honestly be very impressed to see someone do a single flair on a V10 then a double flair on a bmx.
