Fresh off an outstanding year in the FMB World tour (with still one stop to go) Brett and Mechanical Eye Media want to show you how much he has to offer. Brett, obviously known for his slopestyle riding ability, doesn't want to be viewed as a one track mind. He wants to expand that riding vocabulary, so to speak, and be viewed as an overall talent upon his bike. Brett is known for his signature style, making every trick look like he's doing it at ease, some would say he's like fresh concrete; smooth, no cracks or flaws and has a solid riding foundation.

Look at dat Trek mane.

 agreed. just trash.

You should know by now you have to start your own music and mute videos on Pinkbike if you want to stay sane.

The song suited the video perfectly, and although you may not like the song itself, surely you can appreciate it's use within this video to compliment the footage. One man's trash, another man's treasure.

I really like good hip hop. Love it in fact. This was not good.

mr. captyvate, i feel that your reply has more insight and thought put into it then has been put into that entire song- or at least as much as i could listen to before needing to turn it off. so well done on your part, you'd be a good art critic. regardless, it did not suit the video perfectly, nor did it compliment the footage whatsoever. there is good music in every genre, provided that one is willing to look hard enough for it, and there is great hip hop- but this is shit. i hate that i even listened to a little of it again just to consider your response.
and as for "one mans trash...", you can polish shit, you can paint shit, you can put shit on a pedestal, but all you got at the end of the day is shit.

I feel your comment has too much insight in to captyvates comment...which doesn't have too much insight.

yeah pete. you're right. just refer back to my initial post. but i'd like to compliment the video footage and excellent riding though- in my hometown no less. thanks for making it and posting it

Music is matter of opinion. Before you start bashing, I will inform you I did search for alternative songs. As for feel, I didn't want dubstep it's far too heavy for a street edit. I could have used oldies rock, yes. But I couldn't find that perfect song. I found this song and liked the instrumental. But the instrumental was far too bland for the riding. I settled on this, yes I realize that you shouldn't settle, but in all honesty I had other projects to work on. This project had to take a back seat. Like I said earlier music is a matter of opinion and I wanted to create a juxtaposition between music and riding, it may have worked and it may have not. With the being said I do appreciate and respect all your opinions and thank the nearly 18000 people who viewed my work. Look for more to come featuring Brett Rheeder and hopefully you all enjoy the music next time

Pretty rad edit, but why put that sort of song in if you're going to have to mute so many of the lyrics?

 A$AP WASSUP

Clams casion should be used in way more videos. But the muting just sucks on this, makes the song un-flow

 His instrumental mixtapes are better.

 woops, Casino*.

Yeah I do agree, but it's cool that more people are finding out about him

Clams Casino's songs most of the time don't need lyrics on top of them, but A$AP makes some pretty good songs with them, too. Glad to hear some on these videos, sick.

He has the nicest color remedy after Cam's.

Barspins+180 roll outs. BMX laughs at us for edits like this. Brett kills it on jumps though

Great Vid and great riding, but the music is bollox scum music.

does he actually smoke dat og and drink dat codeine?

Such a sick edit but i had to mute the video and put my own music on. I dont understand why every video has to have a shitty rap or dubstep song on it. What happened to real music being played on videos? well until people figuire this shit out i will just continue to mute the videos and put my music on Smile

Not one of the most exciting video and music combo's, but yeah, thought it was pretty decent overall and still wish I could ride like that, even just his simple 180's were done in a way that made them look like anyone could and should be doing them! 7/10 for me.

Hells yeah! Nice to see pros riding spots that are familiar. That bank he did the whip on must be a popular spot 'cuz Donahue was shredding that in K5 too. I have a huge amount of respect for any rider that doesn't just confine themselves to one way of riding. Good job Rheed. I loved the foot jam nosepick.

Why is he feeding pigeons? Did he miss all the signs saying, don't feed the vermins please?

Awesome Vid!!! but i've always wondered, why do slopestyle bikes have the shifter on the frame rather than the handlebars??
  • 6 0
So the riders can perform bar spins more easily.
  • 3 0
Less cables in the way for tricks like barspins

Complete lack of originality on the logo (Portal). Otherwise a cool video, I liked all the landmarks from the Toronto area.
