Meet Freerider and Downhill Racer Britney White. 2013 Proved to be a successful year for this avid mountain biker living in Bellingham, Washington. With 3 Wins and a 2nd Place Finish at the NW Cups this year, Britney proved she is not only stylish on the bike, but fast as well, a lethal combo for next year's race season. With the help of her sponsors Freehub Magazine, Race Face, SR SunTour, Smith, Continental, Royal, Five Ten, and Transition Bikes she dominated the final round of the Northwest Cup Finals, crushing the competition by 13 seconds.

Here are a few Questions for Britney.

How do you spend your time off the bike?
I serve nights at a high end local restaurant, The Fork at Agate Bay, build trails with friends, eat lots of good food and spend the rest of my time relaxing with people I love, my boyfriend and my dog. I strive to live a simple and good life.

What advice would you give someone who wants to progress to the next level in mountain biking?
Be patient. There are so many skill sets with riding a bike, I think it is important to try and hone them all in, since they all work together no matter what discipline you prefer. Also, keep relationships with your sponsors, the hit it and quit it technique usually does not apply here.

What do you have in store for next year?
I have a few videos in the works for 2014, I love the process of building a line and then nailing it for the camera. Also, racing the NW Underworld Cup, US Nationals, Crankworx, and perhaps a World Cup or two, I'll just have to wait and see I guess...

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
There are many uncertainties with what life throws your way, but I'd like to think I will have that passion for getting a little sideways, going big, and working on my style whether on my skis or bike. I'm surprised at how great my body still feels after years of abuse, so continuing to take care of it will always be a part of how I chose to live... oh yah, and maybe a couple kids, who knows!

" I wish more potential female riders would understand that physical activity, especially a gravity sport like MTB will not kill you, and may actually impress you with some muscle tone that most women don't have. There is nothing better (for guys or gals) than bouncing up from a wreck and wanting more, both from the bike and from life.

 Nicely done video. Captures the essence of PNW jungle riding, dark and damp. Wheels stayed mostly on the ground, so did the dirt. Lots of flow....a pleasure to watch.

 Dropping through the trees at Stevens Pass on Slingshot Wookie during the NW Cup finals... I saw no one with a cleaner line...it was magical to watch and she is a very nice person as well. Good luck to you young lady!

 SICK! I love Girls that crush it! Observation: great trails produce great riders. The Pacific Northwest and S.I.N.E. ( Somewhere In New England) , build great trails and make great riders! Mary Elgers from New England is also a fantastic Freerider. Britney Mary and other female Freeriders should get together a video and show the world their skills! Great Riding Bitney if your ever in New England look us up we will show you some great trails!
