Benny f*cking Phillips! Such a shredder and the only guy not sponsored and shredding! (he has also pulled a cash roll on mtb before) what a shredder!!!!
I didnt like how jamie goldman took up the last few minutes doing a simple trick (no footer) when andrew lacondguy was gonna go for another double flip. he had to rush it and couldnt do it
messere did well too, wouldnt of seen a flip whip coming, and same with strait! and you have to give andreu props for the douple flip attempt!!!!!! That was a sick compotition to watch.
ben phillips came out of no where with a 360 double downside then to top it all of he attemted three frontflip tailwhips ..... not bad for a first competiton
yeah, on the replay you could see his neck got whipped real bad on the crash, I think he'll be out for a little longer than just the weekend unfortunately.
hey guys.....who ist this benny phillips and why or how could he enter the competition? Hes not a listed rider in the fmb world tour. And if a previously confirmed rider crashes and is out, the next rider from the fmb world tour moves into his spot. SO WHY THE HECK IS THIS RIDER IN THE COMP?????
After Paul wrecked, I had a feeling it was down to Zink and maybe Strait, and Kyle through down, but his double whip had more sketch to it...
CONGRATS ALL AROUND!
man they really ramped it up there near the end
it was flipwhip after flipwhip after frounty after tailwhip it was too sick!
this is by far going to be the sickest slopstyle event of the year.
sucks for paul B tho hes a super sick rider and theres no doubt in my mind
that he would of possibly one the whole competition.
looking forward to saturday
ride on guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best of luck on the road to recovery paul !
I think since qualifying got moved a lot of the riders were taking it a bit easy not wanting to get hurt for the joyride. Ben was looking pretty sketchy in practice but definatley came out fighting, the crowd loved him and he deserved the win up top.
I'll assume you're talking about Sterl's photo and there is nothing artificial about it. He was using a TS-E45mm f/2.8 (that's straight from the metadata) so perhaps just a tiny moment of research is warranted before you start making comments about it?
While I agree that "iamamodel" should pay attention to the metadata I'll also say that tilt/shift is really getting played out (about 2 yrs ago-thanks to LensBabies). Which is too bad because it can be used to make some really cool images. And in Sterlings' pic it really seems to bring nothing to the image. I'm assuming he had that lens on for a different shot when Cam came through? Who knows. But he easily could have dropped the foreground spectators out of focus with a low aperture.
Both images are pretty good but all the technical BS aside I think Ian definitely grabbed the better pic of Cam this time.
Most of the riders used the best trick as practice props to Zink for thowing down. Why would Semenuk, Claw and others try to kill them selves for 4K when they are up for 25K and FMB points with the slopestyle. Good to see the young guns giver!
Also, it was very wierd. it was like going to sleep and waking up the next morning!
Benny Phillips Doing a frontflip super seater and a frontflip whip which he did in the best trick yesterday aswell.
you guys watching tonight?
sucking up his ass?
i totally understand, you guys say 'sucking up your ass" and its hilarious to us "naive" canadians
Soooooo much props Benny.
Thats what's up. :o
