Bike in the morning and board in the afternoon in that scenery!?

Other way around - the glacier's only open in the morning. Pretty cool place to ride but there are better trails elsewhere.

looks like to much of a dirt jumping course after looking at chatel.

personally, i like that better, chatel seemed boring, not enough tricks or jumps. i bet rampage will blow our socks off though.

that 8th picture the one with the skinny wood drop looks sketchy as hell tho... other than that the place looks really nice.

@larry your dumb there wasn't that many tricks because the course was in bad shape from the rain, it was only qualies, and the wind was so strong that it was damn near unridable

has the industry come up with a name for the boner-log feature, other than "boner-log?"

if not i think thats awesome. we as a sport have a permanent name for an obstacle called the boner-log.

goto the fmb world tour facebook page and they have 3 videos thats it.. and tbh it was more like a downhill track than a big dj freeride course.

There is some stunning riding there! Was a mistake taking a hardtail but I still got some good air and managed to over take some guys on their dh rigs! Biking on a glacier is simply amazing!

flag jakobkalan95 (Jul 9, 2012 at 14:26)
So what your saying is all skiers/snowboarders are bikers?
  • + 2
flag jojotherider1977 (Jul 9, 2012 at 14:55)
probably meant, can also be bikers. There's a lot of crossover i'm sure since the heart of each sport's season aren't the same. I snowboard (and ski) and also mountain bike. MTB was my way of getting that outdoor adrenalin rush outside of snowboard season.

my question is where are they snowboarding? I dont' see many places in the pics where they could be riding.

flag jakobkalan95 (Jul 9, 2012 at 14:58)
Ye I know what you mean. Like if you lived in whistler you could be a snowboarder/skier in winter and a mountain biker at summer

flag WolfRidge08 (Jul 9, 2012 at 15:18)
Jojotherider1977 - les deux alpes has a glacier at the top of the mountain which you are able to ski/snowboard all year round on, and also start some of the DH trails on if you feel like it.

flag zorba73 (Jul 9, 2012 at 15:21)
Yeah, you usually get into both especially if you live in the mountains. Although this past winter I rode my bike way more than skied or boarded cause the snow was so shite.

I'd love to do that but I live in England haha, you get like a months worth of great riding weather every year then I pisses it down all year haha
