Downhill Supreme 2 March 22 Launch

“Art RB” Digital Entertainment owned by Reinholds Berzins has proudly announced Downhill Supreme 2, the long awaited sequel to the world’s number one iOS mountain bike cycling game, Downhill Supreme. The sequel will be launched on both iOS and Android platforms making it available to even more players. The official launch date is set for March 22, 2014.

While retaining all the original Downhill Supreme features fans came to love, Downhill Supreme 2 has a new and grown up feel to it. The new design of the game highlights the improved gameplay that promises to be even more involving and addictive than before.

New features include: Multiple MTB Disciplines, Full Rider Customization, New Improved Physics, New Improved Graphics, Dynamic Track Objects, Multiple Track Surfaces, Stamina System, Rider Impact Simulation, Result Sharing in Facebook, Online Leaderboard and others.

Downhill Supreme 2 Showcase feature. You’ll be able to take a hi-res photo of your bike and share it on Facebook, Pinkbike or other social media networks.

“We’re extremely excited to make a sequel to a game that is loved all over the world in the cycling community. We have listened to all the great input we received from thousands of emails and Facebook/Pinkbike comments, and we believe that Downhill Supreme 2 will be the game you’ve all been waiting for! It’s challenging, it’s entertaining, it’s addictive and fun,” said Reinholds.

He outlined the main brands of Downhill Supreme 2: Pinkbike, iXS, Spank, DVO, CaneCreek, Saracen and Evil Bicycles, and noted that it’s a joy working with industry leading brands and seeing our common passion for the cycling sport.

On the launch day, March 22, a giveaway will take place with prizes such as the Saracen Myst X downhill cycling frame.

Still wish you could "tune" suspension for different tracks but these new features are exactly what we all wanted. Excellent job Reinholds Berzins and the rest of the team at “Art RB.” Hats off to you sirs.

 Thank you! We've definitely taken in account the suspension issues from DHS1, and the DHS2 has none of that rebound or all that stuff. We aimed to have the suspension to setup just right so that no rebound or so fast compression. We think we've hit the sweet-spot, but beta testing for sure will let us know.

 Absolutely, the Impact Simulation in DHS2 will measure the impact/acceleration on the rider, preventing from 200ft drop to flat and riding away. It will be represented so player will know how hard hits is he/she taking.

 More reality stuff. There are plenty of games that go just crazy big. We have real brands and products and the new DHS2 is more realistic oriented the DHS1. It's more about staying on the bike, more vertical, and less mx style jumps. We'll have some track previews soon.

This game is so epic, me and my mates sit next to each other and race the same tracks like its a world cup....

Clearly, this game could be further evolved for a gaming system..... think the Skate series.... of MTB !

 Thanks! That is actually our target to create Skate3 like cycling game. Can you imagine the big banks and a DJ/Street MTB with it! That would be something really cool!

 I don't see why it couldn't be done. It would essentially be a MX/ATV game with a stamina bar. The key would be in the ability to modulate braking front/back. The difficult part would be creating realistic tracks and worlds that give the feeling of being on a trail in the dense forest. MTBFreeride is probably as close as we've gotten.

 We've really worked on the Android performance, as it was the Nr.1 task related to android. All the different devices, different processors, GPUs, screen resolutions etc. but we've found a great balance and so far it seems that we'll be supporting Android back to 2.3 making even a older phones playing the game in 30+ fps.
The online leaderboard will be unified as well for both iOS and Android instead of using the Game Center and Google Play to store times that would split the players in two groups.
We've really taken the Android equally if not first hand when developing DHS2.

 Unfortunately the Downhill Supreme 2 is mobile platform game only. However we have an ambition to do something way bigger in future for desktop and consoles.

 We definitely have all those three in our "Most Wanted" list for sure. In our game studio it's little bit like in wild west, we've got bounties for finding a brand Big Grin but jokes aside, we'll do our best to get those brands included.

 Make the track time goals visible and attainable. Nothing more frustrating than having a spotless run and only getting one star. Give me a time for 1,2 & 3 stars. Also make the target times challenging but realistic. There were several tracks from the last game that I could ride perfectly smooth and never get 3 stars.

 Awesome! I really liked the Game... It's better than Stickman Downhill, in that it is more realistic. But it defiantly sounds like you tuned it up a bit . I finished it in about 2 hours so it wasn't too challenging... How ever there are still a few trails I don't have all three stars on, .... Any chance of more freeride features? It could get a lot better but I really enjoyed it and I am not gamer at all...

 Thanks a lot! Yes, the DHS1 had it's issues, but for the first step in getting DH in gaming again it went well. Now we have plenty of competition, but we feel confident that DHS2 will be again at the front.

 Could you please change the "Ooh!" sound, which activates upon crashing to something more realistic such as laughter? Maybe a mix of "Ooh" and laughter simultaneously. While you're at it, throw in the sound an upset chicken makes when the rider goes sliding down the dirt on his head. Great game. Thank you for your product and looking forward to the new edition.

 Not on the launch. We'll have online leaderboard as our first step in online, and want to do that right and take it from there. Possibly adding the H2H in update.

 I really enjoyed DHS1, my only complaint was that I ran out of levels. 85+ tracks ought to keep me busy for a while, but it might be fun if you added some achievements such as avoiding a certain object on a track by taking a creative line, or doing a wheelie/endo for a certain distance? After you have got three stars of course! I am looking forward to the new game, keep up the good work guys!

 I really enjoyed the last one...the rebound ćräp really pïssed me off!! I think it would be totally rad if you could earn money and sponsors as you go through my completing objectives and beating times to impress potential sponsors and buy your own stuff!! It would be kinda cool to be able to develop your own company for frames or whatever you want?? Oh and one more thing, it would be interesting if you could upgrade the stuff you get like forks and shocks or cranks and tires or rims!! Can't wait for the second downhill supreme to be realised!! Keep it up. Hope my ideas give who ever reads this some and gets slapped into the game. I would never stop playing if it did!! Shred on!!! Oh and more brands like Rocky Mountain, Devinci, Giant, marzochi, maxxis tires alexrims etc. just a thought hope it is taken into consideration!!

 I just hope the story wont be the same with DH supreme #1, where there was only a single update that didn't do much to what people "complained" about.

 Some of the things people complained about was fundamental in the game, meaning that update couldn't fix it. However we have taken that information and not only fixed those but improved beyond. We'll release more information before the release and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Also, what about offering more paint schemes? The Nukeproof Pulse and Pivot Pheonix came in 2 colors.

 Rider customization will include: Jersey, Shorts/Pants, Helmet, Goggles, Guards and Neckbraces.
Each frame will be in all the optional color schemes. In total that means way over 250+ frame combinations.
