It is with heavy hearts bearing the burden of much sorrow that Lone Wolf Productions brings to you this exclusive and in-depth scoop of Dylan Sherrard’s retirement from Freeride mountain biking. While the livelihood of this genre of the sport has been heavily scrutinized in recent times, Dylan was a recognizable ambassador who believed Freeride would live forever. Unfortunately, the nay-sayers have finally found their way beneath his skin and Dylan is throwing in the towel. Freeride has died in his heart and he has waved the white flag of surrender.
After already leaving his job at the Bicycle Café and arranging to move back to the Yukon for a lifetime of beard growth and bush-whacking, Shred Hard agreed to produce one final web video for his fans. We at Lone Wolf Productions were damn proud that he would do us such an honor – that was, until we realized what a shame of a person he has suddenly become. Showing up late and reeking like alcohol, he refused to put the bottle down between shots and his style was merely a shadow of his former self. Such drunken debauchery as his performance in the bike ranch eventually lead to an arrest and our project was cut short.
We wish our old friend Shred Hard a fond farewell and all the best, but with Jack Daniels and janky guitar solos now calling the shots, it’s difficult to stay optimistic in speculating about his future.
