Local trails are always the best, aren't they? This video shows Patrick riding one of his favorite local trails on his Scott Genius LT. Make sure you check out his ultimate, eco-friendly, shuttling vehicle!

i think it's because the technology is getting so good on these bikes that its just as fun to take a short pedal up some fire roads and the kill a trail just almost as hard or harder than you could on a dh bike. i know i put in more day on my sb this summer then my glory simply because i didnt want to pay for gas to shuttle, and i was too lazy to hike.
yep, agree too, enduro and AM is the essence of MTB. Jumping is cool and DH too, but climbing and pedaling is another important part. We should not forget this. Pinkbike neither.
I love how so many of these " AM " vids these days have people that shuttle to the top rather than riding them up... Kinda misses the whole point in owning a bike that is designed to go down AND up very well doesnt it ?
No doubt it was a cool way to uplift I enjoyed watching it , but in general these days there are a lot of AM vids with people shuttling thier super light wieght AM bikes.
I LOVE THIS, and it makes me wanna ride more than any other kind of genre of video!!!
I love DH, DJ, BMX, and all the rest, but THIS speaks to the hard-charging rider inside our brains!
PROPS!
Great vid, but a trail riding vid? I think not. More like a mini dh vid. Trail riding's about the uphill just as much as the downhill, not getting a lift to the top
I can't wait for someone to do a whole 'Uphill' video now..... music and slow mo and editing.... shit would off the hook funny and lame at the same time.
Of course I'm gunna love this video because I ride a Scott Genius as well.
The should consider making more videos showing off this wonderful beast of a bike!
Train a horse that their is food at the bottom of the hill. Make sure the horse knows the fireroads up and down. Don't feed it for a day. Shuttle to the top. Let horse make its way down shorter fireoad while you slay trail. Meet horse at the feeding trough at the bottom which you trained it to return to. Give horse an apple and some molassis. Shuttle back to the top and repeat all day long.
C'mon! These guys are bad ass
More lame (less entertaining) though
