I heart boobies! Raisin' money for charity, one run at a time in bright pink
Funniest damn thing: Sam Hill pulls off to check a section of track and almost instantly gets accosted by a fan with a bike frame on hand for an auto graph...
Scotland... Nothing like touring the local Ben Nevis distillery...
The boys heading up for first run of the day.
Gwin and Minnaar are currently tied for points, but the rider with the most recent win is technically in the lead. Monkey Vasquez plates up Gwin's bike with a brand new fresh #1.
Emmeline Ragot getting the exact tire pressure she needs.
Michael Kull of Schwalbe checking for a proper rim fit with some Middy Mary's on Brooke MacDonald's bike.
Jon Cancellier giving the lathe aboard the SRAM truck a bit of a polish
Gwin, pinned. He must be feeling comfortable; I only saw him 3 times.
Richie Rude
Ben Reid working to get back into that top 80.
Marc Beaumont cruised around all day in orange, making it easy for everyone to pick him out from the rest of team GT.
Minnaar, can he get back the lead from Gwin?
Gee Atherton is looking very, very fast.
The rain fell on and off all day in the valley, but not on the course...
..once the clouds cleared, there was a decent view.
The man with his own song, Ivan Oulego Moreno, flyin' through the Scottish Highlands.
Ragot pushing through one of the rougher sections of track.
George Brannigan had his best ever result last week at VDS, this week he took a bit of a tumble but is no worse for wear.
Mitch Delfs, trying to get back up in the top 15. It's been awhile but he's looking good this week.
Matti Lehikoinen checking lines...
It's nice to see Matti in one piece and looking good on board his Nukeproof.
Brendog, stylish as usual. Hard to miss in his TLD Se Pro gear as well.
Needles on the sharp edge.
Thibault Ruffin goes down in the rocks. People were crashing all over the place today, the medics were busy.
Mio Suemasa of Japan taking in the sights and sounds of Fort William from on high.
It wasn't only people getting broken. Put your pedal in the wrong place, and you can kiss it goodbye.
Bernard Kerr has his best result ever last week, and this week he is absolutely pinned and trying to show everyone he wasn't a one hit wonder.
@Motoracer432 Leave this conversation. Stevie could whip you anytime of any day. those boys and girls out there racing WC and doing something you could never do. regardless of whether they can win or not they practice everyday and put more time in effort into the sport then anyone else.
@motoracer432: you're right, they never said you said you could beat any world cup rider. they just said you can't beat them, period. maybe you're finally 'accepting' the fact that you cant race even DH and beat anyone at all. The list for the alternates is down in the ladies room.
Heh old mallets that Syndicate boys are sporting were decent, just as eggbeaters, first 50/50s and under seat activated Joplin 3. That's about it from CB... The rest is dreadful
Garr, it's awful, if it wasn't someone of Sam Hills caliber wearing it they would have gotten bashed in the carpark. If it's for a charity purpose, I take back that statement.
its a brilliant idea and the dude deserves a frigging medal! yes fair enough he looks like some kind of pudding but it is a very noble pudding doing it for a good charity
All the WC racers that have raced at local events have been very approachable and, if anything, they initiate conversations. Awesome to see Sam (and I'm sure others did for the guy as well) take a moment to make a person's day!
I know someone who met Sam at Sea Otter in a "hate to bother you while you're walking around" approach and he was very gracious and real cool about the whole thing
gwin parks at fontana in just his truck and no factory rig, hes usually selling stuff to. tons of stuff. he always talks to people to, the athertons show up sometimes and they are super cool to and just chill out. all the wc riders are cool
CG is a guy who loves to interact with fans. he talks to you like you've been buddies since way back. hope he recovers from his injury and comes back stronger.
Norcal - oh you made my day, good sense of humour is not welcome on serious WCup threads. Making fun of a Brit rider on nearly Brit soil (freeeeeedoooom!) is a disgrace for you to know aye! 'Murrricah!
Yeah, people dying in Afghanistan while trying to prevent Afghanis from owning their own lands, that's worthy of promotion! Go Dead Soldiers! Never forget we tried to keep them dirty ragheads from owning their own lands!
^ haha nice! but I own a giant AND a Specialized... So I'm torn between Danny and Sam. But honestly I think it's anyones race especially with the new section at the bottom now fort william truly is a balls to the walls grueling track! Can't wait to watch the finals!
descended from British people in recent history so were Americans... they were the criminals we sent away because our prisons were overflowing... its history if you remember
I prefer to say that we all simply ran away to better lands. haha jk I don't really care what flag they're flying as I said above I think it's anyones race. Just excited to watch it
well we might be boring (england...) and you did run away to better lands, the majority of americans are scots or irish, who decided that this country is shit, and for the irish it was they had no food, the scots were driven out by greedy land lords wanting to graze there ground to get more cash, (lol doing the british thing and changing subjects) would you like a scone? or some tea? good luck to gwin i doubt he will need it but anyhows
pinned to the floor... he keeps crashing at Fort Bill. 2 crashes in qualification, but already down at split 1.
He was lightening up top last year on the rough stuff.
yea track is so fast gotta get all that reach make the bike longer and more stable going there crazy ass speed. makes them look giant tho, no extra travel tho.
Actually kevin I'm pretty sure they're no minimum insertion lines... the one on the right is the rubber seal and the one on the left is the little Kashima coat decal thats printed on the stantion.
Same goes for that shot of gwin... his stantions look so long it's ridiculous.
Shut up... just... shut up.

Awesome pictures though! Anybody know if and at what time it will be going live tomorrow?
