Feb 8, 2012

As well as showing off the frame building shop, Paul will be displaying the 1888 Whippet he's building for the North American Handbuilt Show (NAHBS) Mar. 2-4. The Whippet should be 85% complete by the day of the open house.

The open house is from 5-8pm Thursday, Feb 9th at the UFV Aerospace Center:

UFV Aerospace Centre
30645 Firecat Avenue.
Abottsford Airport

If you're looking at the Tradex Building, it's a 5 min walk to the LEFT.

NAHBS is the by far the coolest bike show I've ever attended. The free beer didn't hurt either. Make me wan't to build my own frame.

money is a factor, but if you take the time to contact bike companies they will tell you tube sizes and what not, a lot of those parts do not have to be bought off expensive frame building sites, rather discount online metal sites for way cheaper!

Yeah, and we all have the time and expertise to weld and construct a frame. I know I don't.

Actually, that device you see on the top tube down to the rear wheel is the brake!

That's a good point, taking that element out makes it a little easier to see the frame. I still think the rear wheel has travel in concert with the lower headtube and fork. Check this out http://www.brodiebikes.com/blog/?p=2283 some shots of the linkage.
