What's it like to travel the World Cup circuit with the World Champ? Never a dull moment. On race day it's all nerves, intensity and action. And in the time between races, it's practice, preparation and some occasional goofing around. In episode 2 of this series on the Giant Factory Off-Road Team's 2012 season, filmmaker Clay Porter travels with Danny and explores the critical role that his mechanic and support crew play in Danny's success.
Great video, very professional documentary! Great insight into the mentality of how the pro riders work. Would love to see what sort of training they go through during the season.
Didn't think my comment would cause thread to be hidden. I'm a positive cat and not out to offend. I just find it continually odd the amount of guys that don't wear protective gear, especially considering the intensity of what they are doing. I don't think anyone wears gear because if feels good rather one wears gear to prevent injury. I just found this vid interesting regarding how much attention a tech/team gives a rider to improve performance and not much done to prevent injury, especially when it could have cost them so much.
Totally agree Dally , if I was a team manager I would be pushing my riders to use a back plate and elbow guards as a minimum , gotta protect your investments. And if they say it's uncomfortable then surely it's down to the armour companys to make some more ergonomic kit.. ?
I must be letting the bushy-eyebrowed crowd down with my efforts!
