As awesome as this video is, I can't help thinking how sick it would be to let Jinya loose on a DH bike... he shreds that hardtail like noone else!
(Nov 1, 2012 at 12:38)
yahhh my trail bike used to be a hard tail but at the end of the day, regardless of what discipline of biking im doing, I just want to go as hard and as fast as I can and you just cant go as hard and fast on a hard tail bike as you can a full suspension
(Nov 1, 2012 at 13:59)
go fast on a hardtail and you will be able to go way faster on your dual, and it dosent feel slow when you can feel everything on the trail
(Nov 1, 2012 at 16:22)
bikemonster you got that right, at the end of the ride you will have a more interesting story to tell also. I would love to see them on rigids
(Nov 1, 2012 at 18:26)
Did my first Super D at bear Mt with my hardtail block 8 Cromo it was and I had the best fun ever on that MT. Even got mid pack. Only 2 hardtails there, mine and a Chromag
(Nov 1, 2012 at 20:15)
Big props to these guys riding a HT on this trail. Great vid!
(Nov 3, 2012 at 16:09)
@bikemonster2 Feeling fast and actually going fast are to different things.
(Nov 3, 2012 at 23:16)
I will probably ride a hardtail until my body says "no more".
(Nov 6, 2012 at 0:27)
I used the wrong "to". I meant two.
(Nov 1, 2012 at 11:07)
gotta love hardtails!!
(Nov 1, 2012 at 11:12)
I love how they make that trail (green monster) out to look easy. Those rock rolls are STEEP.
Great bikes and riding guys.

After abandoning a 2011 Scott LT30( its for sale, if anyone wants it!) for a2006 Sinister Ridge, I can say, in no uncertain terms, that this video is like watching pure poetry.
Without a doubt, a hardtail WILL make you a much better rider .I ride Highland on a regular basis on the Ridge and it easily outperforms the LT.It is considerably faster both up and down. Far more reliable. Far more stable at speed in the rough stuff. Far more predictable overall. No going back for me, thanks.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 12:36)
Really dumb question but what type of frames are those? Compared to a lot of hard tails I have seen, the top tube is a lot lower and relaxed geometry on these bikes (I think). I have always wanted a hard tail like this because it looks a lot easier to bounce around and bunny hop.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 12:41)
nvm... did not realise chromag made frames as well....
(Nov 1, 2012 at 12:01)
Nothing better than Chromag!
(Nov 2, 2012 at 1:30)
Love the name!
(Nov 4, 2012 at 15:03)
if they choose good lines on the downhill they could beat a full suspension any day on the pedal and uphill sections in a race.
(Nov 3, 2012 at 5:38)
The Chromag videos inspired me to start riding HT again, and I'm having so much more fun on it. FS just seems to make you soft unless you're riding rough stuff all the time!
(Nov 1, 2012 at 14:07)
I am digging those alternate lines
(Nov 1, 2012 at 14:34)
RideOn that was a killer video! Long travel HT are super fun! This video shows how well one can ride and enjoy the battering speed!
(Nov 5, 2012 at 10:34)
When I did Entrails last summer. I met a group of riders on CroMag hardtails! Equipment is important but its the rider that makes it happen!
(Nov 5, 2012 at 10:31)
The rock steeps look delicious. Im recovering from a broken Femur. I,m ok with that next summer.......I,m there. Sweet vid. Was that in Squamish?
(Nov 5, 2012 at 13:32)
Above alpine meadows, whistler.
(Nov 5, 2012 at 17:43)
Will check it out . Thanks for sharing.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 13:20)
2nd chap needs a bit more air or more compression damping. But me just moaning. Video a beaut. Riding inspiring.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 15:56)
Nothing better than a steel framed hardtail! ...I just wish my knees agreed with the rest of me :/
(Nov 1, 2012 at 21:39)
When my friends ask me why I love to ride my hardtail, I can just show them this video! Hardtails rule!
(Nov 1, 2012 at 22:14)
Good job Oliver! Sick riding by my boy cort as well!
(Jan 9, 2013 at 19:53)
is there a certain set up you should have on your hardtail for this sort of riding?
(Nov 1, 2012 at 19:00)
Old School cool. Lovin' the shreddin' on the hardtails, well done. Nicely filmed too.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 1:21)
Awesome video. I only have hardtails. Ride 'em everyday. Never owned a full suss, don't think I ever will. Happy days !
(Nov 2, 2012 at 9:05)
Wow, what a nice video! Love how they flow on their HT's, Hardtail riding teaches you to ride smooth!
(Nov 1, 2012 at 15:01)
Nice steep trails that looks well built and maintained without losing it's natural feel.
(Nov 1, 2012 at 16:49)
Awesome video but they set the bar really high with Trail Boss and this didn't quite measure up, in my opinion.. Still a good video though
(Nov 1, 2012 at 13:58)
Not bad. But only 2 shots with head in the first minute. It is not just art...
(Nov 1, 2012 at 15:39)
My bad on that, first time trying out a super wide filming style and could have framed the shots better, I think I got better at it near the end.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 12:20)
great edit! love hardtail flickability fun!
(Nov 6, 2012 at 13:06)
Hard tails are not wimpy.
(Nov 2, 2012 at 20:36)
Like others said: what frames are they riding?
Love the hard tail edits.
(Nov 1, 2012 at 19:43)
dope...show how hardtails are still very capable you just have to choose your lines a little more wisely...
(Nov 1, 2012 at 11:30)
Awesome! Which Chromag frame(s) are they riding?
(Nov 1, 2012 at 12:01)
Orange Stylus and I think the other is a Gypsy
(Nov 3, 2012 at 16:22)
That gypsy looks sweet
(Nov 5, 2012 at 22:14)
I think theyre both styluses
(Nov 7, 2012 at 10:46)
(Nov 8, 2012 at 16:57)

(Nov 1, 2012 at 11:51)

(Nov 1, 2012 at 19:17)
what kind of hard tails are those?
(Nov 1, 2012 at 22:13)
(Nov 5, 2012 at 21:46)
I didn't know they made hardtails... thanks!
(Nov 5, 2012 at 22:15)
haha kinda the whole point of the video. They dont make any suspension bikes. These guys are riding the Stylus
(Nov 8, 2012 at 17:39)
It's weird. I'm pretty good with knowing all mountain bike manufacturers ,but I did not know about chromag. Maybe something I'll look into if I want a new trail bike.
(Nov 1, 2012 at 17:35)
Those trails look like the ones in my dreams. I need a bike vacation!
(Nov 1, 2012 at 10:52)
yea bro! olivers the man
(Nov 2, 2012 at 0:27)
I love to see hardtails in action !
(Nov 2, 2012 at 1:01)
Sick vid! I am not quite sure but are these 29's ?

(Nov 1, 2012 at 14:08)
a bit to much fast-forward
(Nov 1, 2012 at 15:38)
Uhm, about that. I used zero "fast-forward" in the editing of this short.
