So stoked to see one company putting more girls on the team! I can imagine this would be a fun team to be part of...both on and off the bike! Can't wait to cheer them along this season!
Looks like a crash at first but I'm sure it's not. It's Holly and Tracey ontop of one of the guys, Holly is ontop of his legs and it looks like Tracey is sticking a knee into his midriff, and they are shoving something under his nose or into his mouth at the start. Pretty sure they've just tackled him to the ground and are teaching him how to eat dirt.
Weird editing decision in an otherwise awesome clip though.
yeah i thought it was a crash and he was like passed out. i watched it a few times and i feel like its them messing with him...either way its a bit odd how they edited that part haha
Umm yeah whatever is happening its.....different. He is hurt, he is losing, he is happy, they are happy, they are not happy, neither they nor he are happy, or they are all happy. Not quite sure.
hi guys, i work at Polygon and 100% involved in this project, its really fun to work with the team and the riders are fully committed and outstanding, especially Mick Hannah he's just so focused and trust me he will be on fire for 2013 season so watch out
Had an opportunity to share a pitcher of beer last year in whistler with Mick. Cool, down to earth guy. Even gave me some pointers on bike setup. Wish him and the rest of the team all the best this year.
Man, every week is some new, big news regarding the upcoming WC season. Can't wait for it to start. These Polygon frames look great and I'm sure this team is going to be strong this year and get a lot of attention. Stoked!
1) Gotta say, one of the most fun videos I've watched in a while. Good music and sick riding. 2) Track looked heaps of fun, though tires didn't look to be coping that well 3) Is Holly running like 800 bars? The shot with her next to Tracy you can they're definitely way wider, and way wide for a slim girl.
hahaha i saw mick in whistler and he was riding a polygon and i was like dude dont you ride a morewood? and he was like ummmm im just testing stuff for polygon
love the look of the bikes, but... downtube cable routing... really Polygon? at least run the cables in the inside of the front triangle (still on the downtube, but on the side that's furthest from the front tire) then have them transition onto the lower suspension link and then to the rear triangle, that'll keep them well out of harms way and avoid much of the need for gigantic loops of cable right under the BB shell... and with the number of DH bikes I've seen with dented/perforated downtubes, or downtube guards integrated into the frame, I'd be REALLY leery of putting the rear brake hose anywhere near a potentially high-impact area like that...
I don't like the cable on the bottom of the frame. to much possible damage. What's up with the pic of the white one and the cables are hanging down???? pro mechanics and there not cut right.. overall design looks like a plush ride but cables are the thing that steers me away.
I imagine they are cut correctly and allow for the BB to move up and down with the suspension. If the cables were touching the frame when the shock is uncompressed, they would be ripped out as soon as someone got on it...
If the cables are cut for extra room, why have the slack on the bottom.... Don't get me wrong, it's a great bike other than the cable placement. I personally don't trust it. Shit happens when you freeride and you hit strange objects (tree's, rocks, bones, glass, etc.) If I got it for free then I'd probably rep it and sell it for what I want to build.
All I can say after spending few days with them is : They are friendly and down to earth, good sense of humor yet professional when working.. good luck for you guys this year, nice to ride/share your dreams!
A week after the official team launch both Mick & Tracy won the Australian DH Championship (Men Elite & Women Elite).. Awesome..!!! A beginning of a bright season here..
Now I don't know whether I just haven't noticed this previously, but this year seems to have seen a lot of team and partnership changes, and it's safe to say I'm loving it!
Does the cockpit on those bikes look a little cramped to anyone else? Per Polygon, size M frame has an effective TT or 560mm or 22.2 inches. Seems real short to me.
Looks like saint rear mech and most likely shifter, which also means te chain and cassette will be shimano.
The chain ring is e thirteen and crank bros pedals
You can't stop people for being stocked on the stuffs by telling that is not populer in your country or is cheap or whtsoever..., man...once prop riders ride it on WC and shake the podium, its proven bike to be buy, is only time will tell...!!!
This is indeed a weird move, why would a first rate international team, would leave a first rate quality brand to choose an indonesian brand, after seeing several polygon bikes simply break.... I wouldnt be comfortable riding one on the WC level... =/
ANyway, which the team the best of luck this season!
Will you please be my girlfriends?
That is all.
But what do I know, my love life is non existent
