8 days in Vegas and not one BOOB=That folks is dedication! (or stupidity)

Oct 4, 2006

It's all over but the crying! Haha Interbike 2006 was full of great new products-some that make sense, some that just make you shake your head. I hope that you've enjoyed our coverage as we worked hard to get it all for you. Here's a look at the last day in Vegas for the folks here at Pinkbike.com
On the last day of the show, many vendors are willing to part with some of their samples as a few less things to pack up and carry home is always welcome. So today Pratt and I went in search of a few items to spend our money on as we'd saved it all on account of not going out on the town all week. Oddly enough we found ourselves at the Sombrio booth asking Kevin to sell us some goods. Here's a few shots of what they have instore for 2007:

Syncros is very well known in the freeride world for making sick pedals, burly parts and more recently, really good wheel sets.

If I was a Syncros pedal, there is one shoe out there that I'd always want to be on my pins. 5-10 Low and High Impacts are beyond sticky, they simply out grip everything currently on the market. With new graphics and two new signature looks for the Sam Hill and Nathan Rennie models, 2007 sets out to be another great year for 5-10.

This picture is a flat pedals wet dream

We went looking for gear box bikes, but I think they are all still at Eurobike or something as the only two I found were at the Sun Tour and Rotec booths.

Small bike and component companies are the heart of Interbike. With out them, you'd have a couple dozen big booths and well the show could be done in a day. But since they are here, here's look at a few more little guys that are having fun and making nice stuff.

Avalanche Suspension

Straight Line

Dark Cycles

Beast Gear

Race Face Components

Sinister Bikes

Speaking of small companies, there's a small husband and wife parts company that goes by the name of Deity and they are as nice as two people come.

Kona is a company that seems to have perfected the mouse trap-if it ain't broke don't fix it! They have a huge following of their bikes-just look around any "freeride" area and you'll see dozens of groms chucking themselves silly on Stinkys. But Kona isn't just freeride and downhill, they have a leg shaving side to them too. The all new 2007 Hei Hei is their 21.5lbs dual suspension Scandium XC race machine.

Atom Lab has been making bomber pedals for ever. We stopped by to say hi to Mike and Brian and to see the new pedals. While we were there Brian showed us the new Cane Corso from Duncon bikes out of Poland.

661 recently acquired the Royal line of clothing and had a few key pieces on display for us to peek at.

Well its time to hit the road, but we had one last stop as we wanted to find Radek in this mix of people and booths. He was at the Ergomo booth, where he had just set the new record on their wattage trainer. Pop Tart tried to give him a run for his money, but fell far from the goal.

Well that draws Interbike 2006 to an end folks-see you all next year.
