Due to how short the days are in the middle of winter, it's hard to get lots of footage, but I think we managed nicely for a short video.

Anyone who thinks this is slow or he wasn't shredding needs to also realize that damp leaves are slippery as soap. Shredding in those conditions is a lot different than shredding in optimal conditions. That trail actually looks very similar to one of my local trails right now and traction is minimal at best.

he was hauling ass for those conditions!

Anyone else have they jaw drop at how he hooped up in one of those first berm close ups?! Eek

i would say he was straight up hauling ass, no terms or conditions explanations needed.

Yeah I know first hand how those kinds of trails are. The North Umpqua Trail in Oregon is my main trail to ride and "shredjekyll" is right leaves are slick plus you can't see the rocks below. I have the shredded arm to proove it. Still not going to keep me from ridding though.

Most of us that ride or at least try to ride all year around can see that conditions are what they are.. Yes he was fast. For me riding in non-optimal conditions is just as fun as riding in the optimal conditions. Getting looser and no jerky movement till summer!

I wanted to say the same, that trek looks gewd. I'd love to hear how it genuinely compares to his ellsworth

the Ellsworth is pretty much a Downhill bike with 90's technology, the Trek is one of the most modern downhill bikes around...

Wharncliffe and woods like it in the north of england at this time of year are shit to ride in... As above... No tyre works well and the traction is awful.... That was fast, as u would expect from Jack. The man is more solid than rock. Good to see u have a new ride dude...

Brandoncoughlin, 6th in the Garbanzo DH at Crankworx and top 50's in worldcups would point to him being perfectly able to shred. I've seen him ride and he rips on a bike

ovadebarz got it spot on, those trails are so difficult to ride at this time of year. its like a mexican slip and slide...

is he sponsored by trek now?
  • 1 3
Mojo sponsored riders have trek 9.9's now

 Jack bought the bike himself.

Had completely forgot that, he liked his 2012 one so much that he bought this one. Was tempted to buy his old one! Riders of his standard shouldn't have to buy their own bikes though...
  • 1 1
there was a gap where he was looking for new sponsors because his contract ended with ellsworth so we would have had to buy all his own gear then
