Since joining the Knolly team in 2010 James has been consistently rising to the top of the pile as one of the world’s premier freeride mountain bikers. Coming off a busy 2012 where he captured sixth place at Red Bull Rampage and was featured as a main character in the full length Freeride Entertainment production "Where The Trail Ends," James has been keeping busy with various filming and photography projects.

Feeling at home in the big mountains, James is known for finding unique and challenging lines making them look easy. James recently just came off a trip to the Chilcotins with the Knolly team. Keep your eyes open for the media piece coming from Margus Riga later this month.

James brings a strong bag of tricks with him where ever he goes and isn't timid to implement them into big moves. He just finished filming a Unit Clothing edit with Mitch Cheek from Solos Productions. By all accounts it should be another exciting edit from the duo coming soon.

In addition to various sponsorship shooting obligations James has also been shooting for the "GoPro Dirt Diaries" contest and a new TV show called "Underexposed." Plans for the rest of summer and fall are to shoot for "Deep Summer," gear up for Rampage and to shoot a Knolly edit with Solos Productions.

bigquotesJames is notorious for riding innovative lines with an unmistakable aggressive style aboard our bikes. His input has proven invaluable during Knolly's design process, and his riding speaks for itself. We are proud to have James piloting our bikes, and look forward with excitement as he continues to establish what is possible on a mountain bike. - Kevin Waterbury, Knolly Global Sales Manager

bigquotesCouldn't be happier to be on Knolly Bikes! These bikes are truly the best feeling bikes I've ever rode, I can't see myself riding anything else. Stoked to keep growing with the brand and help develop some the the best bikes out there! - James Doerfling

bigquotesTo state that James has had a marked influence on both riding style and riders' style would be an understatement. James is at the top of the big mountain riding scene, making insanely steep and technical lines look easy with his trademark flair, and Knolly frames must be predictable and flawless in performance for his progressive riding style. I'm super excited to continue working with James, to have him showcase the entire Knolly product line and of course continue blowing our minds on some of the most unimaginable terrain anywhere on the planet! - Noel Buckley, Owner, Knolly Bikes

Yeah James...we're stoked too!

Knolly Bikes is looking forward to supporting James as he progresses his career and can’t wait to see what's next for him in the future!

One of my favorite riders and favorite bike companies. Is Knolly the only bike manufacturer left producing only 26"? Can't think of another off hand.

Yeah that'd be sick, though he rarely ever comes out to visit. Hopefully when Salmon fishing is at it's prime out here James will drop by. Crossing my fingers!
