I managed to film the likes of world class riders like Sam Hill and Luke Ball. With these names in my films, I had to step up my filming and post production, leading to my most progressive year as a film maker yet. Here's my 2012 showreel, highlighting my best footage from the year. Enjoy!

The last time i listened to ABC news was friday in the car on our way to thredbo and the opening line was "Lance Armstrong admits to being a dope." So so great

Pendulum & Sam Hill = Win
  • 1 2
 What's Pendulum?
  • 1 1
the song is the abc news theme remixed by pendulum. Top choice!

Never liked the demo (good luck to gwin on it!) , sam made it bearable , THIS YEAR IS SAM'S YEAR.
the bike is a prototype! wait until the season starts and then judge colors and stickers!

yes the demo is not a bike to win at that level ...the main pivot is to close off the bb....not enuff chain grow.....rsult in lost of speed in rock garden and roots section .......if gwin is as dominant on this bike that will prove that is veeerrry goood......

another internet engineer who knows nothing and makes idiot comments. Between 30% and 50% stroke, the Demo has a relative rearward path.

Gwin is not riding the demo. Specialized made a bike for him thats similar to his old trek.

Seriously? What does it say about a company when they sign (possibly the biggest name) in WC downhill and he doesn't ride their flagship steed? I don't think he switched teams to be riding the same bike with a different sticker.

I was saying his new bike looks similar to his trek that he used.

Rouxdh ur an asshole! You mean I spent 4400 plus tax on a piece of shit.......really! Next time you can roll to the bike shop with me and help me spend my money! Haha!

I'm glad Sam made a bike he was integral in designing "bearable." Have you actually ridden a Demo and compared it to other top-level bikes? Take a look at Gwin's candid comments re the Session.
  • 1 0
I think the Demo and the session behave very differently. The 2012 demo i rode kept trying to flick the front up out of corners where as the session is a lot more planted due to the longer chainstays (i think). But then again it could have been the suspension set up but the demo did feel lower and slacker. Didn't try it on any rough stuff though.

@moabRover, what did Gwin say about the Session?
  • 8 0
Put Sam on any bike and he'd kill it, dam he could ride a crusty old whore and still make me want to have a go !!!!!!

luke your more pinned than hill. haha

That nukeproof needs to lose those stickers
  • 14 0
and TLD needs to lose those pink and yellow jammies
  • 1 3
 TLD is sooo awesome!!!!
  • 2 0
The pink and yellow is from around 08 or 09, they're long gone now

It is really fresh to see an edit that has only one "obligatory" slow-mo tire shot and no time lapses.
  • 3 1
loving all the Sam footage but still waiting for Gwin on his demo >_>
  • 1 0
It was a showreel, not a Sam edit.
  • 2 0
well i know its not a sam edit... I not hating on the vid at all. Love it and the fact that Sam is it it. He is the reason I wear 510's. All I was saying is I want to see some Gwin too! whether is self production, specialized edit, showreel. Bring on the videos pinkbike!

 great work
  • 2 3
Showreels featuring only 3 guys are awesome. Like an extended montage. But with only 3 guys
  • 2 2
Unfortunately there's not much major talent in Perth. And with my senior year of high school, i focused the small amount of projects i did on the best riders.
  • 1 1
i enjoyed your film mate it was kinda simple and straight to the point ,just biking at its best nice one !
  • 2 1
 not much major talent?
Like em or not there's Sam Hill, Mitch Delfs, Luke Ball, Todd Madsen, Ben Bell, Jake Byrne,
Mitch Bryant, Jordan Prochyra, Deon Baker, Sam Payet, Adrian Walsh and more.
These guys are fast and all within 2 hours of Perth
  • 2 0
And they've all been filmed in the recent WA based movie How WA Roll. Sam and Luke are the 2 most suitable fast and stylish riders to film, and Mitch was used for a school project.
