@mtnbkrforlife - you do realize theres a lot more than just bikes on this site..people sell electronics, cars, dirtbikes, paintball gear...whats wrong with a sweet trophy truck jump? the bikers coulda followed ....
Very nice video/concept. Not trying to bash on it at all, and with all respect, all you guys jumped was a "gap" that could of had a pit full of fluffy bunnies for that matter. Still was a good jump, still was good timing. Once again, I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
But next time how about... send the trophy truck into a big jump, then have a bike jump the jumping trophy truck mid-air, then have a MX bike jump the jumping bike that's jumping the jumping trophy truck ...all at the same time. Yaddidamean?
Jk about the MX bike. But it was be cool to have a small jump from a trophy truck and a bike clearing that jumping trophy truck in mid-air...too dangerous? nah.
Really bummed they didnt have more footage of the TT. Think it was Vildosola's truck, dude's from Mexico, and he was the 1st (and only) Mexican to win the B1K (2010). Pretty sick
Yes, that is, in fact, the Vildosolas' Geiser Bros No.21 trophy truck. I wonder what he was doing up north, or if they were down South. But wait, I wonder how long ago this happened! The photo shows the truck with the old F150 front clip, but it has the new F150 Raptor "FORD" front clip/grille.
This is more like what we have here, not only desert by the border. Where this shots and the trophy truck was filmed is forest around a Volcano Nevado de Toluca where you can ride all the way to 4000 meters and has 2 lakes in the crater.
We have had national DH championships there since 1993, the panamerican Championships were there in 98 with a drop of 1700 meters for the DH course.
In the Town of Queretaro there was a very nice dh course where MInnaar,David Vazquez, and south american riders have been more than twice and had great reviews. As always our big problem is sponsors, Beer, Soda Drinks Mountainbike in generaletc only care about Soccer because of the TV coverage. Redbull has helped a lot with races like DownTaxco where racers like Kyle Strait won by less than a second beat our former national champion.
Just watched Fox racing mtb movie, with the fucking awesome trophy truck with mtb in the back intro. Now saw this and i'm like fucking yes shit YEAH awesome WOOOHOOOO woopwoooopp
What frame/bike is she riding??? I know she was on the Big S at one point right??? But tht doesn't look like a Spec. Frame, more like either a Hyper or the new Diamond Back...
This is awesome...and it fuxking awesome to watch some of these videos on here and think to myself that I've ridden with these people and had conversations with a lot! Well done, Katie!!
My point is dont think of Mexico as someone new to Mountainbike.
Come to ride here and enjoy desert, mountains, jungle and beaches in a safe environment and beautiful weather.
Cheers
Is that a footage from GoPro 3? If so, it's not a huge difference from both previous models. Do not get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Go Pro, just saying...
Wish it was better, we've got more potential, you will hardly find a road gap like this here, only when the big ones come theres some action over here, other than that we need much more builders and riders, especially in the Downhill discipline.
