I recently had the pleasure of shooting a video section with Dustin Greenall in Kelowna. I was also fortunate enough to be able to shoot much of it at the Center of Gravity festival, needless to say it was an eventful few days. For those who don't know, Center of Gravity is a festival featuring FMX, Mountain Biking, Skateboard, BMX, Wake boarding, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, and huge live musical acts, all of which takes place on one of the nicest beaches in BC.
With Dustin's help they had created an awesome dirt jump course right in the middle of Kelowna. The Monster was flowing and the crowds were buzzing. All the boys at COG were putting on amazing shows several times a day beating their bodies and bikes, but some how managing to continue each day. Dustin was one of the most consistent riders in the whole show all while running the bobcat and making all the necessary changes to the course and dealing with the 35 degree heat. It was an amazing time, with great people in a beautiful place, and I encourage everyone to attend next year.
After all the excitement of COG we decided it was time for some more, so we headed to Silver Star for a day of shredding. Despite being so banged up Dustin was loose in the corners and high on the jumps. We had lots of fun on the smooth Silver Star trails before gettng rained out and washed off the mountain. It was time to crack a beer in celebration of a job well done.
A big thanks to all the riders and friends at COG, Steve Romaniuk, Steve White, Tina, Sara, Wes and Stephenie. I had a great time and the video couldn't have happened without you guys.
