^^^^ Agree. Please can you not put the result in the heading on the main page, or a picture of who won. it spoils it for people who want to watch the replay.
Yeah, they stopped doing it for a bit and I thought pinkbike had finally learnt but it appears not... It can't be that hard to say 'Results inside' or something, can it?
lol at the ignorance of Waldon83's comment. Pinkbike are only providing the link to the replay, it is not a part of pinkbike, they did not record it & they have no rights to the live stream or replay what so ever. it was recorded by redbull.tv, so it can be found without coming to pinkbike. So why should he be thankful that to pinkbike that there is a replay?
common sense should tell people don't spoil the results for those that didn't watch it live especially when there IS a replay, even just for 12 or maybe 24 hours... if pinkbike want people to come to there website to watch the redbull.tv replay then they really should be doing this rather than put the winners name in the article title.
PLEASE PB don't announce the winner in the headline!!! We appreciate you showing it but please don't spoil it.
Congrats Stevie, you made Nanaimo, the island, BC, and Canada proud.
Once again, Pinkbike ruins watching the replay by post who won on the headline of the article. Im still going to watch the replay, but its not as fun now as I already know who wins.
Re: dirtjumperalexb i dont think you give your country any credit by bitchin and hating on other people. It just shows what lack of respect you have. to all that raced and tried there hardest ...RESPECT
why is it every time i come onto pinkbike to watch the WC replay they have to go and spoil it by posting the winners name on the home page!!!! Thanks Pinkbike!!
Dear PinkBike - please take the winner/result out of the headline in the future please - it really kills the suspense for those of us wanting to watch the video as live - I can't be the only one who doesn't get to see it live and watches it later.....
F*ck yeah Smith ended this season on a high for sure. See what happens next year. Devinci definitely showing their bikes are made for big rough tracks. Be a few drunk happy frenchies in Quebec after this.
STEVIE YOU KILLED IT! (shouting intentional) so stoked for stevie and rachel both did amazing this weekend! george brannigan, gee atherton and casey brown all get huge props from me as well!
It seems like the line through the rock garden, to the right of the tree, was actually the fastest as all three Devinci riders took that line and they ended up in 1st, 2nd and 5th. Good work team Devinci!
Big congrats to Stevie Smith! Nice to see Brendan in the top 10 too! Have George Brannigan or Nick Beer ever been on an elite podium before? Oh, and to all the people endlessly arguing about who would've won, or who did or didn't deserve to win because blah blha blah, i'd like you to remember something .....none of y'all won, in fact none of y'all could have even qualified either. Any one of the riders that can consistently make the top twenty are capable of (and deserving of) scoring the win given the right situation and conditions, so give it a rest!
Stevie kill it. Gwin should have raced regardless of busted hand. Tape that s@#t up and send it for the last race of the season. side note, whats up with non brits using the "gutted" slang??
To be fair Stevie Smith made his time up on the top section. He smashed it at Crankworx in the bike park, so as you would expect he showed them a clean pair of heels up top. Not sure the carbon/Alloy argument stands on that stuff.... does it?
Don't get me wrong Smith rode an amazing race and there is clearly a reason devinci gave him the first carbon bike. However it seems a little crazy that bike companies are investing so much money in carbon technology if it is worth less then 0.4 seconds.
Some have said that at quantities of over 500 carbon is cheaper to manufacture than alloy, but it commands a higher price tag in the shops, so better margins!
Add in that it can be more reliable if made correctly, lighter and more desirable and there are a few reasons to invest, nothing to do with the WC team.
I am not saying he would have won, I was just wondering how much time a carbon frame could be worth. I have not ridden a carbon bike so I do not know if there is any noticeable improvement, However when I see the top riders/teams all switching to carbon frames I have to assume there are some measurable benefits.
Epic finish to an epic season big congrats to stevie about time he got on the top step of the podium and even though it's only just finished I cant wait till next year!!!!!
Yeah, would be nice If I could wake up, click on Pinkbike and get to the replay without seeing who won the race announced at the top of the page while trying to get there. I realize Pinkbike is free, but it is still a business/job for the people who work there, and the little things like not giving away who won before some people have had a reasonable period of time with which to watch the replay would go the extra mile as far as customer appreciation.
Still find it pretty impressive that Gwin won the overall and didn't even race one of the rounds. And Danny missed 2 and he's still right up there as well
It is strange they do it in that order though... I'd expect them to go out on the bang that is world champs, most important race of the season and all. Seems almost anti climatic to end with a standard world cup? Anyone know why UCI do it like this?
