all i could think about was: who was that chick interviewing everyone?
  • + 16
 interview chick is HAWT!
  • + 11
Sorry guys I think she's after Gwin!
  • + 11
Hahaha, yeah she was totally checking him out... 'where are you gonna celebrate tonight?'
  • + 5
Ye she asked gwin where he was going to party tonight!
  • + 3
She was hot!! But still finally deserving win for Stevie
  • - 4
 she talks funny
  • + 30
Yeah its almost like English is not her first language....
  • + 2
HAHA! jeeveso caught that too. If I didn't know better Gwin missed his shot on that.
  • - 1
She's german and I don't like her voice
  • + 35
DONT PUT THE FUCKIN RESULT ON THE MAIN PAAAGE!!!!
  • + 17
^^^^ Agree. Please can you not put the result in the heading on the main page, or a picture of who won. it spoils it for people who want to watch the replay.
  • + 8
Yeah, they stopped doing it for a bit and I thought pinkbike had finally learnt but it appears not... Frown It can't be that hard to say 'Results inside' or something, can it?
  • + 3
Thats why I use Dirt for live replays , they have the foresight to not ruin the replays for people...
  • - 2
Or you could just be thankful that there is a reply, otherwise you wouldn't see anything at all.....
  • + 3
lol at the ignorance of Waldon83's comment. Pinkbike are only providing the link to the replay, it is not a part of pinkbike, they did not record it & they have no rights to the live stream or replay what so ever. it was recorded by redbull.tv, so it can be found without coming to pinkbike. So why should he be thankful that to pinkbike that there is a replay?

common sense should tell people don't spoil the results for those that didn't watch it live especially when there IS a replay, even just for 12 or maybe 24 hours... if pinkbike want people to come to there website to watch the redbull.tv replay then they really should be doing this rather than put the winners name in the article title.
  • + 2
Best way to avoid spoilers is to bookmark the "watch the world cup here!" page on the Dirt site (it may work on PB too) before the race takes place.
  • + 1
Thats what I do now dingus , I used to get some one else to click the website and hit the replay for me Big Grin

After your crankworx performance I figured you were prime for a world cup win, congrats to you, Stevie Smith.
[Reply]
  • + 9
That was a really good end to the season, no one seriously injured, and awesome runs. Grads to Devinci!
  • - 11

  • + 10
Well deserved, Stevie! Congrats! Nobody was gonna take this one from him.
[Reply]
  • + 6
PLEASE PB don't announce the winner in the headline!!! We appreciate you showing it but please don't spoil it. Congrats Stevie, you made Nanaimo, the island, BC, and Canada proud.
[Reply]
  • + 9
 Haha! Smith deserved this win!

  • + 8
I just kept getting distracted by the lovely interviewer Smile
[Reply]
  • + 4
Once again, Pinkbike ruins watching the replay by post who won on the headline of the article. Im still going to watch the replay, but its not as fun now as I already know who wins.
  • + 13
hell yeah my first thought as I opened Pinkbike was don't ruin it for me ...and they did.
  • + 4
Same as. Thanks Pink Bike, I was hoping the result would be a suprise when I watched the replay but you had to blurt it out on the headline.
  • - 18
Steves a bitch, gwin would of had it...... AMERICA!!!!!
  • + 5
Getting real tired of your shit dirtjumperalexb
  • + 2
Steve's awesome, Gwin's awesome, point of fact they are all faster than us.
  • + 4
 Re: dirtjumperalexb
i dont think you give your country any credit by bitchin and hating on other people. It just shows what lack of respect you have. to all that raced and tried there hardest ...RESPECT
  • + 4
Use Dirt website for the replays they have the brains not to post the results right next to the replay link...
  • - 5
Pinkbike's responsibility is to report the news, not to cater to Redbull's replays, sorry.
  • + 3
So they can't report the news with out putting the winners in the title ?

Gosh...
  • - 5
 Then go away @barks5133
[Reply]
  • + 5
why is it every time i come onto pinkbike to watch the WC replay they have to go and spoil it by posting the winners name on the home page!!!! Thanks Pinkbike!!
[Reply]
  • + 6
 Congratulations Stevie!!!
[Reply]
  • + 2
Dear PinkBike - please take the winner/result out of the headline in the future please - it really kills the suspense for those of us wanting to watch the video as live - I can't be the only one who doesn't get to see it live and watches it later.....
[Reply]
  • + 4
Does anybody know when the last Canadian was on the top spot? I wished they showed the whole ceremony with the raising of the flags and all.
[Reply]
  • + 2
F*ck yeah Smith ended this season on a high for sure. See what happens next year. Devinci definitely showing their bikes are made for big rough tracks. Be a few drunk happy frenchies in Quebec after this.

  • + 5
YEAH STEVIE!!!! Congrats man, it's been a long time coming!
[Reply]
  • + 2
It seems like the line through the rock garden, to the right of the tree, was actually the fastest as all three Devinci riders took that line and they ended up in 1st, 2nd and 5th. Good work team Devinci!
[Reply]
  • + 1
Big congrats to Stevie Smith! Nice to see Brendan in the top 10 too! Have George Brannigan or Nick Beer ever been on an elite podium before? Oh, and to all the people endlessly arguing about who would've won, or who did or didn't deserve to win because blah blha blah, i'd like you to remember something .....none of y'all won, in fact none of y'all could have even qualified either. Any one of the riders that can consistently make the top twenty are capable of (and deserving of) scoring the win given the right situation and conditions, so give it a rest!
[Reply]
  • + 3
Awesome win for Steve! congrats to him Bitter sweet for me though I really wanted Brannigan to take it.... GC!! Good job for Cole as well.
[Reply]
  • + 2
Even Gwin wanted Stevie to win when he was asked the question. Gwin knew that Stevie was incredibly fast and definitely deserved the win.
[Reply]
  • + 4
 Fuck Yer Stevie!! You Champ!!!
[Reply]
  • + 1
Yeah I noticed that too Smile I guess it was the blast from the soundwave being broken !
[Reply]
  • + 1
Stevie kill it. Gwin should have raced regardless of busted hand. Tape that s@#t up and send it for the last race of the season. side note, whats up with non brits using the "gutted" slang??
[Reply]
  • + 3

[Reply]
  • + 2
could we maybe not have spoilers on the front page? was hoping to watch the replay...
[Reply]
  • + 2
Well, that's the replay ruined for me since the winner is in the article title.
[Reply]

Awesome ride Steve Congratulations!! Although cant help but wonder what Brannigan could have done on a carbon bike. Still a great team effort.
  • + 4
To be fair Stevie Smith made his time up on the top section.
He smashed it at Crankworx in the bike park, so as you would expect he showed them a clean pair of heels up top.
Not sure the carbon/Alloy argument stands on that stuff.... does it?
  • + 2
Don't get me wrong Smith rode an amazing race and there is clearly a reason devinci gave him the first carbon bike. However it seems a little crazy that bike companies are investing so much money in carbon technology if it is worth less then 0.4 seconds.
  • + 3
every hundredth counts in this game !!!...
  • + 1
Some have said that at quantities of over 500 carbon is cheaper to manufacture than alloy, but it commands a higher price tag in the shops, so better margins! Add in that it can be more reliable if made correctly, lighter and more desirable and there are a few reasons to invest, nothing to do with the WC team.
  • + 2
You really think Brannigan's 2d place is because his frame was alu, and if he'd had carbon he'd have won?

You really are victimized by marketing.

How do you imagine going from alu to carbon makes someone automatically faster? Please explain that one.
  • + 1
 ^^^ who is "you"?
  • + 2
I am not saying he would have won, I was just wondering how much time a carbon frame could be worth. I have not ridden a carbon bike so I do not know if there is any noticeable improvement, However when I see the top riders/teams all switching to carbon frames I have to assume there are some measurable benefits.

 Oh fuch yeah Canada!!!
[Reply]
  • + 2
thank you.... no need to watch the replay now...
  • + 7
Yeah, would be nice If I could wake up, click on Pinkbike and get to the replay without seeing who won the race announced at the top of the page while trying to get there. I realize Pinkbike is free, but it is still a business/job for the people who work there, and the little things like not giving away who won before some people have had a reasonable period of time with which to watch the replay would go the extra mile as far as customer appreciation.

  • + 2
Danny Hart's still out from a shoulder injury and Gwin hurt his hand in practice so didn't bother racing
  • + 2
Still find it pretty impressive that Gwin won the overall and didn't even race one of the rounds. And Danny missed 2 and he's still right up there as well
[Reply]
  • + 1

I thought that leogang was the last race of the dh world cup ??
  • + 2
Leogang was the World Champs not World Cup
  • + 3
oops my bad ! thanks for clarifying!
  • + 2
It is strange they do it in that order though... I'd expect them to go out on the bang that is world champs, most important race of the season and all. Seems almost anti climatic to end with a standard world cup? Anyone know why UCI do it like this?
