For 2008 Kinrade will be riding a wide range of Transition Bikes. For DJ and park he will have a Vagrant hardtail setup, slopestyle bike park riding will be done on his BottleRocket and all the other really big moves and drops that Kinrade is famous for will be split between his DirtBag and Blindside. "Kinrade represents a unique breed of mountain bikers that is truly committed to exposing the bike community to big mountain riding and trail building as well as getting back to the roots of freeriding in the most rugged and spectacular terrains, say Menard."

Mike is spending a huge chunk of his season building new trails in British Columbia and Alberta. Look for his hard work in the upcoming Kranked 8, CKD2 and Tam Fordes follow up to Stripped. Also for 2008 Mike has been invited to compete in the resurrection of the Redbull Rampage 08. "It makes all the difference riding a bike from a company who understands what riders are doing these days. What other company out there has owners capable of shredding the trails with me? What other owners have first hand experience and understanding of what I (and riders like me) are doing?, say Mike Kinrade."

Congrats Mike on keeping big mountain pro riders alive and kicking, by far the best move Transition has made to date as far a rider sponsorship goes...well that's only if you don't count Dylan Tremblay.

thats awesome i can wait to see him shredding on the blindside, but poor devinci do they have any good riders now?

Devinci is pretty much more of a racing team it would be nice to see them with some good freeriders but they're really hooked up in racing.

The guy flips and spins ollies and wilsons, doubt he'll have much trouble dj'ing a vagrant.

verry nice! its bad ass to see a bike co. from the great nothwest to take off like transition has and to sign people like mike when they r as new as they are transition bikes has really come a long way and fast and im proud to ride there bikes and i will continue to for years to come. keep up the work guys!

Shame for Devinci - he's really popularised the brand, especially outside N. America - good for Transition though...they've got some sweet rigs!

what kind of helmet is he wearing?

 Dainese D-Raptor

devinci is concentrating on the racing scene. it's just as good a move to release him as it is for transition to sign him. seems like a win, win, win for all three parties. good luck to them.

Now the news is out. Nice.

great bike, great rider. Last quote by kinrade sounds a little arrogant. I suppose if i can ride like him I would be too.

The guys at Transition don't wear suits, and they ride (look at their vids). I don't know if the CEO of Specialized is capable of railing the 'Shore, but the guys at Transition certainly are. I think Mike's statement is simply an acknowledgment that Transition is truly "Rider Owned for Life".
