It's no secret that Mojo Suspension is smack bang in the middle of some of the best riding in South Wales; this is also one of the key contributing factors to Mojo's success. Tom from Eyesdown Films decided that the first destination for this Trail Diary had to be epic, but he hadn't taken into consideration the unpredictable weather that can be found in Wales such as snow drifts in March! Yep, this Trail Diary had all the right ingredients to make an EPIC adventure.
Tracy Mosely and Blake Samson were raring to go for the first day; We arranged to meet a local rider and guide James Tudor, he was on hand to make sure we didn't get lost in the extreme conditions. We all met at 5:00am in the pitch black and headed for the snowy trails.
We were all very surprised by how much of the trail was still rideable, we reached the top and were greeted with a fantastic view. We didn't hang around for long due to the wind blowing a gale and headed back down to a nice warm pub.
As a result of the early start everyone was starting to feel the burn, but we had one more spot to hit before the day was done. We headed to a longstanding old school downhill track 'Mountain Ash'. The trails were clear of snow and the riders enjoyed flowing down the hill behind each other, the trail bikes were right at home shredding this downhill track.
Stay tuned for the second episode where we have two guest riders... Trials legend Martyn Ashton and downhill legend Tim Ponting.Mojo SuspensionFilmed by Eyesdown FilmsMusic
