Monster Energy - The Night Harvest 2015: Check in with all the action from the 4th Edition of The Night Harvest hosted by Matt Macduff. On the 6th of March 2015, 2000 spectators lined Potato Trails, Cape Town to watch a field of international riders throw down. Following a week of blazing fires the local scene pulled together to make another insane Night Harvest go down, leading the way in dirt events for Africa.
Crankworx Rotorua - RAW Vibes: All the action from the DH, Whip Off, Speed & Style, Pump Track, and the Enduro World Series condensed into four and a half minutes of RAW Vibes. Through the use of recorded audio and no backing music, I hope to draw you into the atmosphere of the event.
Jordan English 2015: Jordan English winter riding! Ive known Jordan for a few years now and love riding with him because he’s always pushing himself and not afraid to send it. Stoked to do some filming with him to show people what he’s been up to this winter, check it out.
Erik Elstran & Rob DiQuattro in LA: This is super creative and fun to watch.
It's Coming - First Triple Backflip on a Motorcycle: In 2006, Travis Pastrana shocked the world with the double. In 2015, Josh Sheehan will make history by attempting the first ever triple backflip.
Whitewash: Midway through a dry season, with scraggly trees, icy slopes, and hardly any base, Mount Baker suddenly finds itself consumed by the chaos of the year' biggest storm-- unleashing several feet of snow every night for ten straight days. Plows work around the clock to keep order, but still the ditches fill with battered cars fallen victim to the heavy drifts. As the snow tirelessly buries the mountain, and the warmth and color of the sun become distant memories, the DPS crew reaches the top to find themselves cradled in a monochromatic powder paradise, everything washed away in a rapture of white.
Toyland - Salomon Freeski TV S8 E12: The real world of urban jibbing and the not-so real world of toys collide in Toyland. Let your imagination run wild.
The Now - Ray Collins: The coal-mining town of Bulli, south of Sydney, is not regarded as a repository of high art, nor as a vibrant and pulsing beehive of life and color, and yet there was Ray Collins. Seven years ago the idea of his new photography book, Found at Sea, would have seemed ludicrous to him; he was still working a mile down in the mines and hadn’t shot a single frame. Collins crawled out of the mines after blowing out a knee—“No shock absorbers left,” he says—and bought a camera with the payout. In the short years since, Collins has transitioned from subterranean to submarine and become arguably the most inventive water photographer in Australia.
Mikey Schaefer and FORCE: Force is the collected footage from 10 years of Mikey Schaefer’s climbs, summits and misadventures in Patagonia woven together into a story of success, fear, joy and growth.
I have personally met Ray Collins, hell even my family's house is in the movie. All I can say is that he a man full of patients and answers any question you have. Watching that has now made me want to return home! There was even one scene in the movie where i was taught skateboarding when i was a lil grom, the corner shop at coledale and all of the beaches surrounding where i grew up. ahhhh the South Coast of NSW is a Holy Land.
Josh Sheehan is the one doing the triple. Pastrana only influenced an entire generation and gave them the knowledge and facilities to push action sports to the next level in terms of tricks and exposure.
I remember watching Pastrana's double backflip at Xgames live and I still get goosebumps watching. Could you imagine the amount of energy in that building. It's amazing. Pastrana really is a Living Legend in so many disciplines. Even in MTB he pushes it. Backflip attempt in the middle of Air DH at Crankworx last year, epic.
Is it just me or do other people cringe when some one rides down a hand rail? All I can think of is the damage they are doing to SOMEONE ELSE'S property. The paint and galvanization must take a beating, not to mention actual denting potential. Mind you, I find the riding skill amazing but clearly, not all of this was filmed in a bike park. I am referring to Rob and Erik on BMX bikes in LA.
Despite bailing into a thorn bush at the 1:31 mark.
Cool to see my Crankworx RAW Vibes edit making the cut!
Cheers Pinkbike
